Well done to all the losers :j

For those who have gained, stick with it as it does work. Papoosue I do find I lose more on the weeks I eat more. On weeks I am extra strict and just stick mainly to superfree foods and restrict my syns I have been known to sts. There are several versions of sw quiche, I make my base from sliced new potatoes cooked in dish till browning and then mix together 3 eggs, ff cottage cheese and whatever fillings you want eg ham, onion, peppers etc and stir together and then pour onto base and cook for about 25 mins until set/browning. I know others have made the base from smash or slices of ham.

Poohbear sorry to hear about your son :( Hope he gets better soon hun, Just focus on your family at the mo....you can jump back on the wagon when things settle down x x
Its scandalous the charges they make for hospital parking  when I had my 1st Brain Op I was in a hosp a good hour and a half drive from where we live so when I was in intensive care for the 1st week Mr Dizzy stayed at the hosp all day.... £12 per day to park!!

Well its WI day for me. I'm hoping to have a little bit of a loss as Ive not been very naughty at all this week :A considering im still on the AntiB's & steroids ive controlled things very well compared to last week :o and Ive not gone over syns at all YAY GO ME!! But I feel awful bloated :( my face and hands look puffy and Ive had to take my rings off.....so not sure what this means for WI *sigh*
maybe if I pray to the 'puffy body part gods' they might remove the curse :rotfl:

Im doing a EE day I think?? just have to look in the freezer....will post my food stuff later

good luck to all Thursday weighers.....may the scales be kind to you :p;)

    WI tonight and EE again

    B- ff yogurt and melon
    S - cherries and grapes
L - chicken salad with Parmesan (Hea)
    S - apple and quavers (4.5)
D - fish finger sandwich on wholemeal bread (5 and heb)

Not sure if going to make weigh in tonight as still feeling really ill but will try to go even if I dont stay to class as I missed last week due to being poorly.
  • Thanks, Primmer :) I think I will have to go back to feeling 'stuffed' all week, like I did at the beginning ;). That certainly seemed to work - I still can't quite come to terms that it DOES actually work lol.

I will give the SW quiche a go, it sounds good. Do you par cook your potato slices before you put them in the pan? Might try it out at the weekend as I've already had two eggs this morning and I'm sure it's not wise to have too many in a week. I would never have thought of using Smash!

    Thank you:T

    hello all...

off to MrT tonight with a load of clubcard vouchers so I can get my fruit, veg and valentine's dinner ingredients for free!! :money:
Have looked up a few recipes that I am going to try next week, including a rosemary chicken stew and SW quiche (hoping it'll hit the spot for days when I can't decide on breakfast or lunch) - so i'll get some ingredients tonight too.
The plan is to try a few new recipes each week to stop me getting bored...

    Having an EE day today:
Brekkie: roll (HEB) beans (f) and cheese (1/2 HEA)
Pot of tea with milk (1/2 HEA)
    Apple

Lunch: not sure, might have leftover carrot soup or a jacket potato with tuna and salad... or might peruse the SW recipes thread for inspiration!!

Dinner: cottage pie (lean beef mince), with mixed veg and mash on top (1 syn for a splash of milk)

quick question - for the SW quiche do i have to use cottage cheese or can I use quark??? thanks!

  • Back again :) forgot to post the day's food plans so far :o

B - SW style 'fry up' - Quorn sausages, toms, mushrooms, egg, baked beans.

L - Superspeed soup. Maybe small ham salad too if not full;)

D - Something made with extra lean mince - maybe lasagne or spagbol.

Snacks - fruit salad and mullerlight. Nescafe mocha (4.5 syns).

Does anyone have any ideas for something sweet but syn free I could just have as a snack? I am not hungry but I am absolutely desperate for something sweet! My mocha helped a bit, but....

No need to par boil the potatoes just slice them spray with fry light but them in bottom of quiche dish and cook until goes brown. I have
it for lunch normally couple days a week and it you can vary it by adding different ingredients to it.
