I'm back and I'm 3.5lb lighter :j:j:j. Only my first week though so a loooooooong way to go yet !
I'd say if you can get to a class then go. It's the only thing that keeps me, personally, on the straight and narrow. I know I wouldn't do it properly if I didn't have that thought about getting weighed the following week

I had to go to a meeting in Norwich yesterday so was able to stop off at the biggest Sainsbury's I have ever been to. It reminded me of the enormous supermarkets in the US.
I managed to get:
the WW bread that is THREE slices for a HEB
Clover Lighter - gotta check the syns, but has been recommended as the nicest low fat spread.
Laughing cow deli- light blue cheese
Be Good to Yourself soft cheese - this has less calories than Philli extra light, and is on offer, so 100g as a HEB on a green day.
Goats Cheese babybel
and lots of own brand smash.
Not sure if I want to keep buying all these little wrapped cheeses, but I have seen lots of nice looking recipes recently using them, so I am going to try them and see if I think they are worth it.
Some great losses tonight - well done :TGrocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)

I am probably being really stupid, but can't find the syns for Clover lighter on syns online. I can't find a manufacturer or brand on the packet other than clover, but the search box brings up nothing when I enter it. Does anyone know the syns for a tablespoon?
Food for today (green):
1 HEA for milk in tea and coffee
B: 2x WW bread toasted (part HEB) and 1/2 tablespoon clover light (an overestimate, must measure it properly tomorrow)syns ?
Snacks: loads of grapes and satsumas
L: Brocolli and blue cheese soup from here http://www.minimins.com/slimming-world-recipes/173489-honeys-recipes.html#post2909114
I had an enormous portion so I am counting 3 syns
1 slice of WW bread
Options hot chocolate 2 syns
Snacks: more fruit and a packet of snack a jacks salt and vinegar 4 1/2 syns, fibre plus bar (HEB), 3x babybel light (HEA)
Dinner: Vegetarian Pad Thai - all free
Seems like a huge amount - I love green days!
So I make that 2x HEA 2xHEB 9.5 syns plus the mystery of the clover lighter.Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)

Lil_Me, I just had a look at all the work you have done on the recipe thread. Really impressive, thank you!Well the recipe thread worked well for me!
What do you think about posting recommended recipes on there (with a link)? I was thinking of the blue cheese and brocolli soup recipe. Or do you just want the actual recipes?Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)

Hi everyone! I've been following this thread for a while, you're all doing so well!
I've been on the plan for a couple of months now and have lost about 11lbs, another 15lbs to go before I reach a healthy BMI. I'm not going to meetings, but have a few books and search online for syn values. I think it might keep me motivated if I start putting up my food diaries. I generally do green days cos I find they fill me up nicely.
Today:
2 weetabix, skim milk (HEA), sugar (1 syn)
2 apples, fresh pineapple
Wholemeal toast (HEB), light spread (2 syns), 2 poached eggs, ketchup (0.5 syns)
3 Quorn southern style strips (4.5 syns), spaghetti hoops, sweet potato wedges
Fibre Plus bar (HEB)
total=8 syns
Tomorrow (need to eat more fruit and veg!):
Porridge (HEB), skim mik (HEA), sugar (1 syn)
Quorn sausages, rice, chopped peppers and tomatoes
2 apples, pineapple
HM salmon fishcakes (HEB), mushy peas
Fibre plus bar (5.5 syns)
Total=6.5 syns
I don't usually eat quorn but I found the sausages and southern strips in Iceland for £1 a bag. The strips are yummy and only 1.5 syns each.
I was going to make the fishcakes with tinned salmon, can anyone tell me how much of this I can eat as a HEB?
Thanks in advance x0 -
I just happened to have the green list in front of me!
