  • hello, i've not joined a group, but i've got all the books from my sister, and hopefully those and the minimims forum and here will be enough!

me and 5 ladies in work encouraging each other along the way. just started food diary on monday, and so far so good.

i am currently 193lbs, and would ideally like to be 154lbs by the end of june, averages just less than 2lbs per week, do you think that's realistic? i will stick religiously to the EE plan, and do a boot camp on tuesdays (2 mile jog with stops for lunges, squats and all sort of fun things like that), swim half a mile once a week (breast stroke, takes around 45 minutes) and will aim to do a dance aerobics workout at least twice a week.

Just sliced and froze a load of whoopsied mushrooms which will be handy for chucking a handful into dishes.

Ive never thought of freezing mushrooms.....fab :money: Im always buying them to have with my brekkies and end up with a tub of shrivelled up nasty looking things that I forget about:o (Mr dizzy hates them so I cant cook with them unless i add them to my portion at the end, so this will be great ;) )

Hi maman, they are superfree but they're not superspeed!! Confusing I know!!

Doh!!:o I'll get the hang of superfree and superspeed one day!! Many apologies but at least I'll feel a bit happier eating bananas now. In my head they were like potatoes, ok but not a 'good' choice IYSWIM.

Right then everyone, I have updated the SW recipe thread with LOTS of recipes. Most of which were posted on the Old Style board kindly pointed out by our lovely Consultant31 (Thank you!).

I've not had time to go through everything individually and check the contents. I've also very rougly categorised them. Please let me know if you spot any mistakes, or you think something should be in a different category etc etc.

So check them all out here - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/40936144#Comment_40936144

  • Hi folks,

    Advice please!

I have been doing EE since September and have lost 1st 3lbs. All very good, but it's a bit slow, all 1lb and 1/2 lbs really.

I have been thinking of trying red days and, when I have got my head round that, maybe even green days. Maybe this would speed my weight loss up a bit.

I've just had a look at my book and it appears that RED means as much SUPERFREE as I like, but not any FREE foods unless counted as hea or heb or sinned. But I get an extra hea and an extra heb and count anything sinned as in the red column.

    Is this correct?

Does anyone find that RED/GREEN is better for them than EE?

On the red plan your free foods are lean meats. All fat must be removed before cooking. You must syn or HE any 'green' foods ie pasta/rice etc. You can eat as much fruit and veg as you need except peas, sweetcorn and potatoes which are HE or syns.

You get 2 HEAs and 2 HEBs.

hello everyone - I am trying to get inspiration from you all. I did slimming world a few years ago and lost that 1stone and a bit but, hey ho, all back on and more now - anyway really must do something as blood pressure is high despite 2 lots of tablets and now another pack to take as well as it hasn't come down fast enough. (11st 12lb and 5ft 6") So I still have my original books and will start again - just one thing can anyone help with - I am somewhat partial to Muller greek yoghurt (the newish one's with the blue top) which says it is low fat - but I never ever eat the jam (fruit!) so am wondering what calorie count or sin it might be - without the jam? look forward to catching up with you again soon.
