Morning all!
Dizzy, my wedding is the 6th May so not long now! Honeymoon is in Fuertoventura(SP). We've booked a hotel that a couple of people we know have been to and recommended and have upgraded to all inclusive and a superior room. The superior rooms were only opened in November so they should still be nice and new! I'd have liked to go somewhere a bit more exotic but we can only go for a week as OH is on fixed hols from work, also he doesn't like the heat as much as me so the canaries was a good compromise!!
WI tonight and I don't feel very confident! Usually have a post WI treat but today I'm just saving my syns fot a slice of garlic bread....treats won't make me feel good when I go for the dress fitting!! I think I'll call today EE:
Brekkie - banana & porridge (HEA&B)
Lunch - salad, garlic mushroom pasta with veggies in, raspberries.
Tea - spag bol (Sauce is mostly veg!) 1 slice HM garlic bread
I think I might have a go at success express next week to try to hit those last few pounds to get to target! AM i right in thinking thats the one where you have half superfrees and count the highest syn values instead of the lowest? How many HEs do you get?
Ooooh and I'm going on a silver clay jewellery making workshop a week on Saturday, its rather expensive but I'm hoping I can use what I learn to make presents for my bridesmaids (and me!!!).
Weve been there ...tis lovely(will be lovely as it never gets cold there even in winter, we went november time;))and its great that you dont have a god awful long flight too! I'd recommend hiring a Jeep for the day & exploring!
the jewellery making workshop sounds interesting, you'll have to try post some piccies of your finished product.
I thought success express is where you had 2/3 of your plate superfree and everything else stays the same?? but I may be totally wrong
good luck at WI !!! x x0 -
I have my WI this morning, please, please let me lose the 3½ I put on last week (bloody * week + I will admit to 9 x2 finger kitkats jumping into my mouth) on one day!!!!!!
(how did that happen)!!!:rotfl:
good luck at WI - Im keeping it all crossed for youANY_CHANCE wrote: »Went to weigh in tonight,
Whilst i was in the Que to get weighed i found myself getting more and more nervous, desperately hoping i hadn't gained again this week. I Resisted the urge to whip off more clothing than necessary in my desperation and when i climbed on the scales i tried to find a position that would make me weigh less!!!
Anyway after all that i had lost 2 1/2 lbs which takes me to 10lb loss in total...phew
:T:T fab loss :j:j well done !!blackberry-rum wrote: »
WI for me tonight, and last week's pound gain has come off, so exactly at target again which is nice. Our consultant didn't mention that thing about a supermarket stocking SW ready meals though. Only about something called "Let's beat it together" which got me in a fit of giggles. I must be very rude cos no-one else sniggeredwas this the image that came to mind?? :rotfl::rotfl:
Well that doesnt surprise me one little bit that you were chuckling Blackers.........bet you were always the disruptive one at school too :rotfl::rotfl:;):p
Well done on the Loss & getting back to target as well !!0 -
Morning:D
Had a coffee and a tea already from my milk allowance.
Breakfast was fruit and yoghurt
Not sure what i'm having for lunch...Have soup in the fridge, may have that. Or beans on toast. Edit - have no bread so not having beans on toast! Quite fancy a weetabix for lunch.
Dinner will be Quorn burger(2.5), ketchup(1) on a WM roll(B) with SW chips(2) and beans.
Has anyone seen the new WM bagels by the New York Bagel company? Are they as high in syns as the white ones? The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Morning everyone,
I've been swimming this morning :A, inspired by all of the exercise talk on here.
I've got my very first WI tonight, bit nervous but I'm sure I've lost a little bit.
Eating today - not sure yet but probably something along the lines of (EE):
B - 2 weetabix (HEB), Milk (HEA) and a banana
L - No idea, going to have a look on the website for some inspiration! Will update once I've had a nosy.
D - Carbonara (SW recipe, going to bung some mushrooms in too to cover the superfree), roasted carrots & roasted peppers
Snacks - weetabix cake (3), grapes, pear, satsuma and anything else that takes my fancy (free of course !)
Congratulations to all the losers :j (that sounds awful ! but you know what I mean).
Is anyone watching the Biggest Loser btw?Save £12K challenge 2015 # 173£0.00/£10,0000 -
Thanks for the replies about the exercise everyone!"
Yesterday I had:
B: Oats'so simple (5 Syns)- Plain with Milk(HEA)Chicken & Veg broth with ww bread(HEB)
S: 2 x Clementines
T: Fish in sauce(1 Syn), potatos & cabbage
3 x Diet coke
I think I've got it right:rotfl:
Hi Emsky. If you're doing EE you should really be having some fruit or something with your porridge to give you your third superfree. Also, are you sure the veggies in your broth and the cabbage with your tea were enough to make up a third of the meal?
I often have a banana with my porridge to give me my third superfrees on EE and I also have atleast 3 different veg with a meal!0 -
:rotfl: Blackers. I'm seeing you in a new light!
Wootball - a while ago you said you were questioning the thing about exercise with a calorie deficit causing muscle atrophy rather than hypertropy. Did you get anywhere with the answers to this?
I have been thinking about valentine's day and I am prob going to do something with meringue-
was thinking a Tesco meringue nest (2.5 syns) with a dollop of WW strawberry tart dessert yog (free) and some fresh strawberries, and some grated dark choc on top (1.5 for a tsp)
Oooohhhhhh... that sounds LUSH! Pity chocolate doesn't last in my house long enough to be able to grate a teaspoon!I thought success express is where you had 2/3 of your plate superfree and everything else stays the same?? but I may be totally wrong
That's my understanding of SE too (except the 1/3 that isn't superfree can be red/green or a mix, like EE).
Considering I think I know the plan very well by now, I'm not following it very well at all!
Talk about best intentions, I went back to to pilates last night with a friend... when we got there the cupboard where the floor mats were kept was jammed, so the class couldn't take place, and because my friend was all wound up from a stressful day at work, we somehow ended up in the pub... and instead of ordering a low syn drink I ended up drinking a pint of guiness!! So annoyed because it didn't even cross my mind to order a lower syn drink
I'm hopeing that going back to class tonight will result in Much Better Motivation.. else I might have to ask Blackers to Beat It Together With Me :rotfl:Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -

I find it really difficult to have third superfrees somedays too. Not being picky, but I didn't think bananas were superfree? I think they're like parsnips (fruit and veg but not superfree).0 -
Is anyone watching the Biggest Loser btw?
Yep - was truly a shock when I realised that I weighed more than most of the people on it when I started at SW :cool:Skintslimmer wrote: »Wootball - a while ago you said you were questioning the thing about exercise with a calorie deficit causing muscle atrophy rather than hypertropy. Nope, no true answer. The generic response appears to be 'any excercise is better than no excercise' which although technically true just doesn't cut it with me. I don't want to look like a fat person that's lost weight - and no disrespect to any target members or big losers but with most of them you can tell that they used to be hefty. I still don't feel as though the plan is Scientific enough, but I don't want to open that can of worms!
It's one of the reasons that I keep mentioning doing weight lifting and recommending it to everybody. I'm sick and tired of hearing people (mostly women it must be said) saying 'I dont want to get big muscles' - that's just ignorance coming from lack of education on the subject. It won't. It will burn more fat than cardio ever will.
If doing resistance work three times a week would create big muscles we would all be Olympians and I'd be selling the advice for megabucks...Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Good morning all -hope the ones still poorly are on the mend soon....
Woohoo JimofTroy -do I "know" you from minimins by chance??
oh my, oh mymy information pack arrived for the trek yesterday *gulp* it now seems scarily real
..... it did give me a chuckle though as you get a tee-shirt, now ME -being optomistic and thinking they would hand them out on the trek picked a medium, well- apparently their definition of medium is 10-12
.. not sure what I though a medium was (having never worn one
) - anyhoo I held up this thing and decided it really belonged to a pre-pubesent child
-but me being me I decided to see how much of me I could wedge into it -well to be more accurate -to see if I could get my noggin through the head hole
-well b*gger my ole boots if I couldn't get in it -now Im not saying there was room to spare but at least I didn't look like a sausage escaping its skin
-hubby said it looked fine -and then spoilt the moment by adding "and at least you won't need to iron it!!"
-when he realised what he had said he was all *emmm oohh no I didn't mean it like that* luckily for him I was to busy chuckling... hubby reckons I need to order a small as I will have shifted the final 79lbs by the time I go on the trek
although I still don't see me needing an 8-10 even then :rotfl:
So now I have the info I need to start planning n plotting, hubby is going to get copies of the info so we can start approaching people -well hubby can go to his SM to see if we can arrange anything, then I need to contact the naafis to see if I can set up a table in the entrance to try and sell those things Im making ... I have made over 100 "dangles now" and still have the stuff to make more -need to get more pics and load them.. THEN I need to start thinking of other things I can doits difficult being out here and also as good as squaddies are at supporting charities there is alway someone doing something so you can't expect miracles... still in the words of a certain supermarket - "every little helps"
....
Anyhoo after all that waffle -here is todays meal plan -Im going green soooooo :-- 250ml semi (A)
- lemon in warm water
- banana
- activia (2.5)
- grapefruit
- 12 speed stew
- 2 clementines
- easy cheesy veg pasta:-
- 25g dry weight pasta
- onions
- leeks
- peas
- sweetcorn
- 28g cheddar (B)
- salad
- 250ml semi (A)
- fibre plus (B)
- frozen berries
- activia (2.5)
we might be nipping out this evening for more water, cottage cheese and milk -so dinner is a nice quick one to come back in to... tis yummy too nomnomonom
Right I had better get off,,,,
have a great day all and -keep at it,,,,,,-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Thats exciting MrsM:T Bet you can't wait.
I would have said a medium was about a 12 too. Small 8-10, medium 10-12 or maybe a 14 at a push and large 14-16. Well done for getting it on and lol at hubby:rotfl:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0
