All bagels are 11.5 syns, they don't have the individual varieties. (ouch)

I was wondering how many syns were in the average bagel whilst shopping today - I will leave them on the shelf!!

Its funny how I use to be such a bread addict - first 3-4 days on SW I craved bread so much but now I've got use to not having bread and don't miss it, I do have some as my HEB's which seems enough, if I get the odd bread craving but if I do I find breadsticks good and count the syns for them. I also allow an occasional cumpet with yeast extract on as a nice treat.

I feel so much better not having so much bread - seems to suit me better I do not feel half as bloated as I use to pre SW!

I'm the same - I'm sure my bellies have gone down since I've cut down on the bread!

I wasn't a huge bread eater before but had got into the habit of having a white bread roll for lunch in work with a cuppa soup and a packet of crisps. At weekends we would have bagels or croissants. The biggest change to my daily eating has been finding something different for lunch but it's not been too bad - mixture of salads and soups.

Do you have ryvita? I'm just toying with the idea of buying some but as I do EE most days that would leave me looking for another breakfast  (currently weetabix mainly).

  • :A One of my colleagues asked me if I'd lost weight today :D She joined us in Sept and since then I've lost 21lbs! it doesn't normally show on me when I lose a small-ish amount cos I'm quite big, so I was very pleased with that!!

I'm not feeling very well today - feel like a cold is coming :( but I've stuck to plan.

    Green Day:

B - oats (HEB), FF yogurt
L - HM SF spiced carrot and lentil soup
D - 2 x tortillas (12 syns), cheese (2 x HEA and HEB :o ), HM SF veggie chilli (toms, quorn mince, onions, garlic, chillis, kidney beans, sweetcorn), FF greek yogurt (instead of sour cream - quite yummy!), lettuce, cucumber
Snacks - HB egg, banana, pear, orange, jelly (0.5syns), LF creme fraiche (1.5syns)
Drinks - cofee, fizzy water, squash

    Total syns = 14

Hmm you're not going to like this, using Grains as a Green free food and your numbers for the 45g portion its 5 syns on Green/EE and 10.5 syns on Red. So not worth it make some porridge and stick some berries in it LOL
