  • Morning, its quiet on here today! Where are you all hiding?

Shock horror, didnt have a kitkat yesterday. Needed a drink after yesterdays shift at work so had a jack daniels and diet coke instead.

Just having an apple before i go out. Will decide the rest of my food later.

Quick question - i'm sure its not ideal but is it ok to have both my B choices as alpen lights? It wont be everyday but they are good for when im working.

It is very quiet in here, isn't it? I have had both bealthy Bs the same before (but 4 alpen light in one day... hope you've got more than one flavour ;) I'd be bored of the taste by the 3rd one! :o). Like alot of things, I tend to think working it out over a week or a month is reasonable (so if you have two alpen light B choices for work on 2-3 week days, try to have a variety of other B choices other days of the week). I'm sure as long as you don't do it too reguarly it will be fine.
Or you could PM someone who has the books in PDF format- as I do  - to email them on to you. Cost: free.

Even though I joined online anyway afterwards, I intially printed all the books out and refer to them often in addition to using the online tools. Also put the PDF files on my kindle, so can take it out with me easily.

Ooh thats a kind offer and I can see you swamped with requests! :D I don't think the books include the healthy extra allowances for pregnancy and breast feeding though, which is why I thought class initially (or online) would help the person enquiring? Or maybe consultant31 is around and could offer some advice?

Would I be right in thinking local markets would be cheaper for veg and fruit than supermarkets?

Ummm I was going to say yes, but it depends what you buy and which supermarkets really. I like going to the fruit & veg stalls at about an hour before they pack up, because thats when the best bargains are! But I can't get to a market at the mo, and find supermarket value ranges make no difference in fruit and veg - an onion is an onion is an onion as far as I'm concerned ;)

I've had a packet of savoury rice (5.5), cottage cheese, and misc fruit. Need to have dinner but I'm at an annoying point of having no quick to make food in, and its putting me off making anything :o Must do an internet shop soon I guess. As a compromise I've put some pasta in a vacuum flask, and am hoping it will cook itself, to have with some tuna and sweetcorn. Now if only it would mix that in too :rotfl:

Going to be drinking wine tonight. Its dangerous because a) its synful, b) I don't care and c) I'm wobbling home on my crutches afterwards!! Wish me luck - I might be better off rolling like this! :rotfl:

oh the other hand, I am such a damn lightweight at the moment that I probably won't drink that much and won't have synned too badly. Here's hoping :D

(I can never decide id hoping is really hopeing or hopping - the hop version might be most relevant!)

  • Starryeyed - PM me your email address, and I will send it tonight.

Skintslimmer - you're right, there's probably nothing related to healthy extras for pregnancy in the files unfortunately. Oh well, the thought was there :(.

To completely change the subject I just had a southern fried quorn burger for dinner - well worth the 2.5 syns! Yum.

Have had a relapse, bouts of coughing again though not as bad as before. Hubby wants to call Dr or take me to hosp as my chest has been hurting all day. Doesn't hurt to breathe just constantly aches, upper back hurts too. Now have a banging headache too.

Hope Dizzy isn't as bad as this but as she hasn't been on here for a few days am thinking she might be. Get well soon Dizzy, know how you're feeling.

Need a lie down now as this has taken its toll just typing. Night all x x
