Congratulations Skint_Catt! :j Our consultant is due her baby very soon so has just taken leave from our classes and, other than blood pressure problems, is looking fantastic!
A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!! :(
    Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!
  • Forgive me slimmers for i have syned!

First really bad day today, was at a conference all day where lunch was provided and had sandwiches and chip things. This evening has been the worst as i have eaten 4 pieces of ham and pineapple pizza. and a few wedges.

So tomorrow i shall have to stay focused and try to be organised!

Just need the glass of red that goes so nicely with it :rotfl::rotfl:

Hmmm, I haven't any syns today yet ...

    ... (conveniently forgets the 22 I had yesterday :o)

22 yesterday plus 6 today for a small glass of wine = 28 and you can have 30 over two days if you want. Get yerself some wine, woman, it's Friday!!!!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • It was my weigh-in on Tuesday (yes I know I'm late posting this!), and I lost 2 lbs. Only 1lb to go to reach the stone mark :j.

Work has been hectic (as always), and I am finding it difficult to cook new, exciting foods after work - as there just isn't much time. I get home between 6 and 6.30pm, then have to make food, get littley bathed and put to bed, then have a bath myself, and before you know it it's bedtime!

That's why this week I am determined to cook as much as possible in advance and freeze it to save time in the evenings . I will probably be back to ask about other foods I can prepare in advance, but for now can someone please tell me if it's possible to prepare SW chips and freeze them? I was thinking of preparing them, then par-boiling them for a few mins before freezing. My plan was to then cook them when needed from frozen using frylight.

So what do you reckon - will that work or will I have to carry on dealing with potato peelings every night when I want chips? Is there another way of freezing them in advance?

Make chips but leave the skin on! Quicker hehe.

I'm at the cinema counting adverts. I put a muller light in the freezer before I came out so am looking forward to that when I get home.

ooh I have found and bought new Activia snackpots, on offer 2 for 1 (79p) in co-op - they are MASSIVE pots! They also had smaller pots mutipacks in the chiller but this worked out cheaper.

Minimins says they are 1/2 syn for the big peach one, and the other flavours are free. It looks LOVELY, can't wait to have that with a chopped banana later on :j

They are lovely, I prefer them to most of the Muller lights. I like mine with a handful of blueberries mixed in with them, very juicy and tasty, and quick and easy to do, because you can mix the fruit in the pot, rather than pouring it into a bowl.

I reckon this is easily do-able (altho' I've not tried it myself). Peel, par-boil, then leave to dry on a tea towel. I'd spray the inside of a plastic bag with some fry light, and put the cooled chips in there, give a shake, to coat with some oil, and freeze like that. If they look like they're still going to stick together, flash freeze them on trays sprayed with oil, and then put into bags.

Goodness me, it's a bit windy in south Lincolnshire tonight, but it's got nothing to do with the dyno-rod soup I've been eating all week, no siree bob! Don't worry, I'll sit to the back of the SW tank.

I want to give sw a go (have done it before) as it should stop the constant hunger (cOs I can constantly eat lol)

Question is: how many extra a/bs for breastfeeding mums on red/green and extra easy x

And how many syns are special k mini breaks cos they r my fav with a cup of tea :) want to start mon sO need to get on and do some planning, if all else fails I have TONS of beans an potatoes lol - must get some beanfeasts - are these still free on both?

Just looked in the freezer and there are 8 boxes of speed soup.

No socialising planned this weekend, should I just live on speed soup and water to hopefully limit the damage.

    or:

Just be 100% EE 'til WI Wednesday morning?
Personally?? I would do the latter, living on speed soup and water would just make me feel deprived, sorry for myself and I would be diving head first into the cream cakes/chinese/mcdonals etc by lunchtime! :o
Maybe be 100% but just reduce your sysn as much as poss until weds? x

I have done this before, made far too many, didnt rrealise until I had already par boiled them, so layed them out on a plate (so the were not touching, wacked the plate in the freezer and voila, I used them the next day but defrosted them first, not sure if you can cook them from frozen?
  • Re the chips, if weight watchers still do frozen chips they used to be only a syn per handful, so ideal for last minute suppers.

If you are able to go to a group (even if its to cheat and just stay for the first class and never to return) they will be able to tell you and you'll get all the up to date books for less than on ebay ;) If not, can you join online? You could alwasy use and abuse it for the first however many weeks you have to sign up to, then go it alone?

I'm not sure if anyone on here will be able to tell you how many healthy extras you will get, (apart from "more!") but I might get proven wrong!

I think some Beanfeasts have syns.. if you google the product and the word "minimins" it takes you to another wonderful slimming world forum, and that usually gets you the answers you need ;)

Morning, its quiet on here today! Where are you all hiding?

Shock horror, didnt have a kitkat yesterday. Needed a drink after yesterdays shift at work so had a jack daniels and diet coke instead.

Just having an apple before i go out. Will decide the rest of my food later.

Quick question - i'm sure its not ideal but is it ok to have both my B choices as alpen lights? It wont be everyday but they are good for when im working.
