  • ... thank god something worked! Mr Muscle removed half of the grease stains, but none of the carbon. Soaked in vinegar while I was out, and attacked it with those pre-soaped wire wool thingumies, and result! One clean pan. Phew. If only I'd have known that the £1.70 wire wool would work... I bought £15 worth of different cleaning products to try - a new pan would probably have been cheaper! :rotfl:

Physio was okay - nothing earth shattering to report but the guy was very pleased with my progress and thinks that next week I should be down to one crutch  He also thinks I can tentatitvely try driving again, woo!

Shopping bags proved interesting to carry :o and thank you sooo much to the stupid bleeping shop assistant in the co-op who made a huff and a puff about "you're not doing very well today, are you??" I'd only dropped a copper for goodness sake, and it was my first bleedin' time in town by myself on crutches - you try it!

Anyway the upshot of it all was it was 4pm and I realised I had only had 2 alpen light bars! :o so I have now had this little lot, on green:

    alpen bars (b)
uncle ben's spicy mexican rice (5.5)
ham (b) mixed bean salad, pickled eggs, cheese (a)
    milkybar (6)
    milk in t&c (a)

So I need a free dinner: maybe something with quorn sausages, like a sausage and bean casserole. Mmmm....

My oldest is 25 today, OMG I feel old.

    To quote myself

Not only old but stupid. I have just eaten ½ a box of M & S Belgian choc biscuits. (left over from Christmas) :o

The other ½ of the box are now at the bottom of the kitchen bin.

Do I feel better for eating them noooooooooooooooooo

Shove up you lot and make room for me on Dizzy's tank

Just looked in the freezer and there are 8 boxes of speed soup.

No socialising planned this weekend, should I just live on speed soup and water to hopefully limit the damage.

    or:

Just be 100% EE 'til WI Wednesday morning?
  • ooh I have found and bought new Activia snackpots, on offer 2 for 1 (79p) in co-op - they are MASSIVE pots! They also had smaller pots mutipacks in the chiller but this worked out cheaper.

Minimins says they are 1/2 syn for the big peach one, and the other flavours are free. It looks LOVELY, can't wait to have that with a chopped banana later on :j

Its entirely up to you. You could:

    a) live on speed foods and zero syns, or some other such way of cutting right back

    or

    b) Forgive yourself and carry on tomorrow back on plan.

Its up to you if you think you can do the first one without feeling all sorry for yourself and giving up and making it worse. I would - hence why I'd do the second option ;)
