SkintCat - congrats on the weight loss and the pregnancy! You can still continue with sw but I think the plan alters a bit. There is a lady at my class who is 35 weeks pregnant and another who did sw throughout pregnancy and after and is now at target!

Ahhh Skint_Catt that's lovely news, congrats :) xx
I have read that you can still do SW whilst preggo, they might have some info on the site or at class...
Someone, is it MrsM or is it Dizzy, has a recipe for synfree (or almost) tortilla wraps. It was on a previous thread but I'm sure it will appear again for you if you smile nicely!
ooh that sounds good - mrsM/dizzy please can you point me in the direction of HM tortillas?? thanks :o

    well done! :j
i can be sadder than that, Ali. I measured a 175 ml measure into my favourite glass and put a little dot of nail polish to mark the level, so I didn't have to guess any more :p

that is a fab idea!! thanks :D

skintslimmer good luck with the job :)

get well soon all the sickies - i am not feeling great myself, all snotty and miserable in the mornings and evenings :(

    EE today

    Brekkie:
    Green tea
    Apple
3 ryvita with 3 laughing cow light (HEB and most of HEA)

    Lunch:
    Salad with balsamic chicken,
    spiced couscous and chickpeas

Dinner - SW chicken curry (free) with lots of veg
    SW pilau rice (free)
SW samosas (1.5 syn each - upped it cos i am going to spray them with real oil not frylight) = 3 syns

also, I've got some mini lindt balls that OH brought home from work - they are about 1/2 or 1/3 the size of the normal balls, but they aren't on the SW syns site. Reckon I should count them as 2 syns each??

Hi all, lost 2.5 last night (shockingly!) to make it 9lbs in 3 weeks :j

Really chuffed with that - and then I found out afterwards I'm 5 weeks pregnant :o

I want to carry on with SW if everyone will let me (I need to!) but not sure now how my weight loss will go once bean starts growing :o
Congratulation. I went to SW when I was pregnant with my first had to get letter from midwife with no problems. I put on 2 stone baby weight but I lost 1 stone the week after birth and 7lb the second week. The rest of the weight came off quite quickly after that. I was breastfeeding which helped lost another 2 stone.

    EE today
So far had (can't belive I managed all that before school run)
    3 quron sausages
    2 eggs
    mushroom and tomatoes
    Tinned tomatoes
    1Tbl tomato sauce 1 syn
    satsuma

Lunch - pasta n sauce with frozen veg

Tea - Stuffed chicken with laughing cow cheese HA wraped in parma ham (not sure on syns) SW chips and free veg.

So I just need a few more syns and HB
    Have a good day everyone

    That's lovely news - congratulations :)

I can't see why you shouldn't continue with SW - eating healthily can only benefit you and the baby. Also, I have found I have much more energy which can only be a good thing ;)

Congrats Skint_Catt - thats excellent news!

I had WI last night and lost 1/2 lb:j. Really pleased cos I had a sneaky curry on Tuesday night. Congrats to all the other losers from yesterday:T!

Having a flexi tonight cos its my flatmate's 40th birthday, so we are going to a tapas place, when I will eat until I'm full, skip dessert and stick to two g&t. Other food for today is the usual breakfast of fruit, yog and oats, then a chicken, egg salad with yummy dressing (1 syn).

Weekend might be a bit more of a challenge cos I'm going to visit my mum, but her meals are generally healthy, I just have to resist my dad's cakes (he always has loads in, but doesn't put on weight no matter what he eats!).

    well done all LOOSERS :T.

I am thinking of making a vegtable lasagna today,
as I got some courgetts woopsied in tescos last night.
Just wondering how to make the white sauce bit now ?

Yesturday I stood in the kitchen for 4 hours making my family
jam biscuits , oak cakes , pizzas ect , and I didnt cheat at all :D.
I ate a alpen light when I felt tempted :rotfl:.

Then the dizzy monster got me and had to go to bed , but realised it was migraine related so took some pills that helped.

For all my dizzy pals , have you tried Prochlorperazine tablets ?
they cut my dizziness down by half , I couldnt do without them.

Also thinking of making tomato soup today , mmmm.

    Be good every one :).
    Kindness costs nothing :)
  • Oh guys, I need your help!

I managed to burn pasta in a stainless (ha!) steel pan yesterday.

With elbow grease (why oh why do we have a lack of anything scrubby in the house?? I had to raid the bathroom for a sad used brillo pad!) I got it down to the point of a few macaroni shaped black bits which are refusing to budge.

Soaked overnight - boiled - no improvement. I know, I thought, I'll google it and see what clever tricks there are for removing burnt food.

One of them said heat veg oil on a low heat inside the pan for an hour, allow to cool then try (apparently the carbon is supposed to absorb the oil) "Brilliant!" I thought, that'll work. Got olive oil, followed instructions, left pan on low heat covered.

10 minutes later the house is full of smoke! The pan is smoking badly, despite only being on no.2, and now look at what I have achieved - carbon macaroni is still there, but now we ALSO have oil burn marks up the sides of the pan, AND the house stinks of burnt food - AGAIN!

Its now soaking in the sink with fairy and hot water, but um... any more advice as to what to try next?! :o I'm going out to physio in an hour, so will be able to pick up scourers and any other cleaning fluids then.

    :eek::eek::eek:
