    Evening all,

Skintslimmer - I hope the dizzy spells are just a passing thing. Glad that you're keeping an eye on things, and being sensible.

MrsM - there's no rule about having to have the carb based foods on EE, but the main theory behind it is that you are able to, otherwise, as Betty said, you're really just doing a red or green day otherwise. It makes sense that you probably aren't hungry enough to include them in your days, because you're grazing through all the fruit & veg! haha Like you say, it's what works for you, and I agree, it is more like the Success Express that you do, but if that's what you like, then carry on. The results speak for themselves, and you have the comfort of knowing that the plan can be adapted to accommodate a future craving for pasta and meat sauces in the future, should you have to.

GandB - sorry to hear about your hubby. I bet you're glad he's back home again, but the worry must be dreadful for you. How's he feeling now?

I was in Morrisons today, and they do still have the Kellogs Fibre Plus bars on BOGOF, so I got 8. I tried the SW Ravishing Ruby Hifi flapjack bar yesterday for the 1st time at class, and they're a bit lovely aren't they? Nice and filling too. Definitely buying a pack of those again next week.

I filled up my trolley today with plenty of the Eat Smart foods. I particularly like their version of a carbonara dried pasta & sauce, which works out at 1 syn per packet if I recall correctly. I added extra mushrooms & ham to mine last time, and it was delicious.

I made a small error in buying Shape delight desserts, mistaking them for the WW desserts I'd heard someone else mention. They're 5.5 syns a pot! Oh well, I guess I'll have one each evening as part of my syns. I also bought a twin pack of the WW Rich Chocolate desserts (again, mistaking these for what I now realise must be yogurt desserts, which weren't in store). They're quite nice, if a bit like a runny blancmange and 3 syns a pot. They have quite a good chocolate flavour, but bearing in mind I could do the choc options/quark thing anyway, it isn't amazing. The main thing is that I have bought in lots of snacks and desserts that are low syn, and will help to keep my taste buds interested.

Food plan today : Extra Easy

    B - Sainsbury's 1% passion fruit yogurt (2.5 syns), banana, strawberries

    L - H/M quiche full of superfrees/speed, 2 slices lean ham

    D - H/M quiche, pasta & 1 tbsp low fat pasta sauce (2 syns)

Snacks - WW dessert (3 syns), plum

    HeA - milk in teas
    HeB - Hifi bar

Back in the gym tomorrow afternoon, and will plan to have some of my dynorod soup too. Not really felt too hungry today, which is good, * week this week, so I know the cravings may come.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

Remember how I was saying how big our Consultant was, and not a good advert for SW a few weeks back? Well I feel soooo guilty now, because at the end of class, she sat there, almost in tears, and said that she felt like a failure, that she thinks we must all sit there and think what a state she looks, and how can she inspire us? That she really struggles to stick with the plan 100%, battling each day with temptation and often losing, and feeling so bad about herself because of it, and that her health is beginning to suffer because of her weight gain, and that she wants to get back to a size 12/14. Well these lovely ladies in my class were marvellous to her, told her it was a group effort, we were all in it together, and support went both ways, and that we were there for her, and vice versa. That she was a huge inspiration, and wealth of support to us, and that she has all our telephone numbers so can call us if she's having a bad time. So regardless of whether these people can use a roundabout, don't use the internet, wear shoes with velcro fastenings, and think going beyond the county border makes you an adventurer, they have their hearts in the right place.
It must have taken a lot of courage for her to open up like that. I personally prefer a consultant who is still struggling a little, they seem more human and, to me, more inspiring.

Monkeymagic ... Step Away From The Fruit n Nut!!

3.5lbs off in 2 weeks is a really good start! Can you imagine if you keep that up! That's brilliant! Keep going kid!

    I agree, it's a good loss.

I am now AT TARGET!!!!!! And it's my one-year anniversary, so celebrations all round :T:T:T

re Options and similar, for those of you who love your lattes and capuccinos, try this (I make myself one at the weekend for a treat but deep down I prefer plain black ground coffee with a little skimmed milk).

Make some real coffee by whatever method you prefer, but in a jug or other container, not your mug.

In your mug put a helping of milk (not too much) and heat it in the microwave.

If you wish at this stage add a half/full teaspoon of Options powder to the milk, not vital.

Now beat the milk until it's frothy. I use a little frother from Ikea, Lakeland do them too.

Now pour your coffee into the frothy milk. The milk will rise to the top and look like a real capuccino. Sprinkle some more Options on top.

    Slurrrrrp :D.

Oh, and the blimmin website ... it won't let me sign it, keeps taking me back to a "Register or Sign in" page. I've given up. Life's too short.

    hi all

had 2nd WI today and was looking forward to a good one having only lost 2lbs on 1st week. Only lost a lb and half this week. gutted.:( particularly as it is my birthday today so had weighed in this morning instead of tonight so i could go out (not now as still sulking). Consultant said we are all impatient which is true i know, and told me to look at upping my speed foods as she had seen food diary last week so happy i am doing it right.
Have been doing EE but in previous sw life i lost a lot of weight on green so thinking of going back to what i know, as do miss that extra HEA. Or is this frowned upon now EE all the rage?
Come on girls (and boys), inspire me before i reach for the fruit n nut..........

you have done well not everyone has huge weekly losses, dont give in to the fruit and nut!!

weighed in at home today, stayed the same but that is prob down to the glass of wine and malteasers on friday night at the theatre coupled with the popcorn and ice cream at the cinema on sunday :o
