To be honest, i took all of your ideas and suggestions and just adapted everything to suit my own taste and veg in my fridge and it is SO far removed from minestrone now!! haha!

I'm calling it vegge bean pasta salad soup!

    Ingredients:
    red onion

    garlic
    carrot
    red pepper
    green pepper
    green beans

    mixed beans from a tin
    tin chopped toms
    chicken stock
    oregano
    thyme
    bay leaf
smidge of marmite (makes everything yummier! it's basically msg in a jar!)

YUM!! :D thanks for the ideas and inspiration sary and skintslimmer

  • Yes I won the books and seller said she joined 4 months ago so they should be up to date. Really looking forward to starting now as my sister is going to do it with me.. will make it easier as I'm staying with her while on extended Mat leave. Hope my enthusiasm lasts until the books arrive! lol

I would defrost it first so it doesn't dry out..or what about poaching it gently from frozen and then just whacking it under the grill to colour?
I was thrilled as I picked up 2x1.5kg gammon joints whoopsed to €2 each and they had 8 days on the date :j.... I love boiled gammon and Im making pea n ham soup tomorrow with the stock :j

Hello hunni, welcome aboard this lovely thread. Join in for maximum benefits, and we love to hear all about what you're getting up to... foodwise, and anything else too!

Awww thank you all for such a lovely warm welcome :)

I had a good day yesterday and managed not to go over my syns. Which is usually always a problem for me :o

I have had a banana and 2 slices w/m bread for brekkie.

Baked potatoes with philly and mushrooms and a muller for lunch.

Dinner is roast chicken with roast potatoes, and I have lots of veg to choose from, I am using the leftover syns for gravy and stuffing !

I have some grapes and a fridge full of mullers to keep me going later. I am such a snacky eater, thank god for mullers :rotfl:

hope everyone else is having a great day !

weirdly, i dont actually like choc digestives - OH loves the tesco own brand ones and they are the only ones i allow in the house cos i really dont like them (all other biscuits dont last 5 minutes here!)

But they were perfect for the banoffe thing
