It's a lie. Bloody hell I'm going to gain about 10lbs if I eat more of it, probably just going to throw it away.Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Having a nice big cook up today using up bits and bobs then big food shop tomorrow for sw essentials.
So far I have made a big green lentil dalh thingy (in the slow cooker now) which will get portioned and frozen, roasted peppers for snacking/pasta sauce and a massive cauli/broccoli cheese for dinner (won't be having the sauce on mine though, just the cheese).Feeling very productive now;):T:):T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil, like women....;):D:p

Ha ha ha ha.If you're not used to a lot of pulses in your diet it can take time for your body to 'adapt' to them...hopefully before you blow up!:T:jHalf a stone off, only another 2 to go!:j:T:D;)Cats are truly evil, like women....;):D:p

Q: Do I have to eat all my Healthy Extras every day?
A: It won't affect your weight loss if you don't take all your Healthy Extra choices. However, the Healthy Extra section is there to ensure a balanced diet, so from a health point of view we recommend that you enjoy all your Healthy Extras each day.
Oh. I still stand by my assertion that it will help though - I did a fair bit of reading into calcium's function in the body when I broke my legsarymclary wrote: »DKAM - that's a fab idea re. the pasta dish, so I'm going to go buy those ingredients on the way to class... I've written a list and putting it in my bag.
Just to clarify. The £5 comes from the Consultant, but the raffle winner then buys the next week's raffle bag. We also take a piece of fruit each for the SOTW (which seems to be the same 3 people from what I've seen). My main concern is that the majority of members who stay to class, whilst lovely, do seem to love convenience meals, rather than cooking from scratch. When you consider that in the last few weeks only the newbies, me and 3 other people have lost weight, and one of those 3 is my son! (which means the majority of those who stay to class haven't since before Xmas!). I really wished someone had won my lovely slow-cooked beef raffle last week, apart from me, because I'd included a full recipe, lean beef, seasoning, pearl barley, veggies, stock, etc. I kind of wanted one of the other ladies to win it and realise how easy it would be to make a meal from scratch, rather than living on packets of pasta & sauce or sausages. You have to bear in mind this is a group that has never heard of Joe's Sausages, Minimins or MSE, and do not use the SW website! It's like stepping back in time once a week.
Oh I see that sounds more reasonable, if a little cheeky stillCan you send the same prize back next week?
Oooh ooh ooh or how about some useful kitcken gadget and the relevant vegetable(s) to go with it? Like a bulb of garlic and a garlic crush, so that they can at least add that to their pasta and sauce - well, it'd be a start! I think Argos and tesco do £5 hand blenders, too, (http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.205-2793.aspx) and if you felt like being kind and stretching the budget, you could include a stock cube and basic veg/herbs so they have no excuse not to make some soup?
Just been for a [STRIKE]walk[/STRIKE] hobble around the block. Took agesstill, its a start, and I'm intending to get into the habit of doing that daily and going a bit further every day, so hopefully it'll get me reasonably fit. Next physio on Friday, and I have to get the bus! All okay, as long as the driver actually stops and waits patiently while I move - I can see myself going flying if not!

i think minestrone soup is a good starter
and something like spag bol is a good main, any pasta with a tomato-ey sauce really.
dessert time - have a black coffee
of course any salads minus dressing would also work
just read this about the miss slinky competition
