Hi all, sat here feeing very stuffed from my lunch!!! Had a terrible nights sleep thinking about how unhappy I was that I had to come to work today :-( On a plus note, I'm a good way towards sorting my hen night.

I'm going for a green day today:

Brekkie - rice, yogurt, mixed berries
    Snack - apple
Lunch - leftover sunday dinner (chicken for HEB and 2 syns for gravy plus sw roasties, cabbage, carrotts, green beans), pineapple, jelly (0.5)
Tea - HM lasagne (HEA&B), sw chips, salad or baked beans (probably the beans, not in a salad mood and OH will want beans given the chance!!), might do me some tinned toms on the side too to up the superfrees although the lasagne is full of veggies.
Other HEA - milk in tea.

I can't believe the thing about having to buy the raffle prize!!! I've been to a few different groups over the years and the consultant has always bought the raffle prize.

    my day so far (ee)

    b - 2 alpen light (heb)
l - fridge raiders (2.5), 2 babybel (hea), ff yogurt, apple
    snacks - caramel snack a jacks (5)

dinner will be more of the veg and butter bean soup/stew i made last night, which is why i dont feel too bad about the lack of superfree in my daytime food.

someone on here mentioned a syn free burger from asda - is this frozen or chilled? and what exactly is it called? so i can hunt it out next time i go!!
I'd like to know this too as I'm reverting back to ASDA grocerie delivery, Tesco is more expensive.

Right after seeing Scarys reply, I know where I am going wrong, I'm not eating hardly near enough! :o
Skipping breakfast, early luch, early dinner not big enough portions have just left me feeling deprived.
So from this day forth I vow cram in lots of good foods, superfrees and I'm going to try and eat some fruit at least once a day.

I also find the evenings hard, I get an attack of the munchies and don't know how to deal with it, especially when it is for smething sweet, not chocolate always, just sweet.

I need to go right back to basics, I have been getting it into my head that I cant eat so much food and loose weight, even if I'm well within syns :o

I have come so far, and I'm determined not to give up now, I don't want to let myself down so am going to draw a big fat line under the last few weeks and just start again, plus I'm going on a night out in 4 weeks and would LOVE to buy an outfit in the next size down, and seeing as my clothes are loose now I know it is feesable :D

Sary, thanks for the ideas , I like the idea of doing a meal plan.
Its funny that you mention not eating enough , I have on average 7 syns a day and have missed some A & B choices.
seeing your typical day is a great help , it looks about an avergage meal plan I would think ? And I notise you probally have a little more fruit than me, I have felt a little on the hungry side, so I will try to eat more fruit. I will stick it out :).

Skintslimmer, I will see how I stand in one months time, maybe by then it will budge in the right direction, thanks for the tip .

Ah, you see two or three things stand out for me here, so maybe if you post your daily food on here we can see if we can spot anything else you can improve to see that loss next week?

1)Please don't miss your As and Bs. And depending on how much you've got to use, try to make sure you're getting your full syns allowance too - especially important if you've got a few stone to lose. :)

I know eating more = eating more calories and sounds as if it should also = losing less weight, HOWEVER:

A choices are calcium - apart from teeth and bones, calcium is good for weight loss. So make sure you get enough, have your healthy As!

B choices are for fibre, and some other healthy foods. A body which is deficient in any nutrient won't work at its best (in our case be able to metabolise stored fat), so make sure you are getting sufficient protein, carbohydrate, vits and minerals, healthy oil, fibre and so on. Use your healthy B choice every day, and vary what you use it for, so that each week you get some good oil, some fibre, maybe some days extra calcium etc. Most of us fall into a habit of using it for fibre, which is very good at filling us up and passing through us undigested. Therefore, not only us fibre good at filling us up, its also good for helping things move through our digestive tract - and you don't want stuff hanging around in there, especially if you're trying to lose weight

So please... make sure you use your healthy extras - they are there for your weight loss!

    2) Use your syns. Don't feel that in not using them all, you are being saintly. Use them. You will lose weight far easier if you do use them, and if you fill yourself up on free food. I promise. Which leads me onto the last thing I noticed in your post:

    3) Fill yourself up on free foods. Have seconds if you want. Have a snack. Have ten snacks. Have the biggest breakfast the world has ever seen. Have a bowl overflowing full of fresh fruit and topped with a free yoghurt. Slimming world works because people aren't left to go hungry. If you are getting hungry quite a lot, I'm pretty sure you are not eating enough. If you aren't eating enough, 1) your metabolism will be slower, so your body won't burn as much fat, and 2) you are more likely to reach for crisps, chocolate, convenience foods which are high in calories but low in energy density - that is, you have to eat a lot of calories-worth of them in order to feel remotely full.

Try adding in those 3 rules this week. And please post us your food diaries on here, so we can help you as the week goes along, rather than letting you be disappointed at your loss at the end of week 2.

    Deal? :)

you can look on here even if you are not a member - lots of nice food pics!!

from the looks of it the beef burgers are chilled and have leaner cuts typically 7% fat written on a red label.
£1.82 is a trial price, then they will be £2.99

I was browing the FAQ's on the site as I wanted to change my WI day, but cant :( and found this..

Q: Do I have to eat all my Healthy Extras every day?
A: It won't affect your weight loss if you don't take all your Healthy Extra choices. However, the Healthy Extra section is there to ensure a balanced diet, so from a health point of view we recommend that you enjoy all your Healthy Extras each day.

MrsM I tried your recipe for spanish rice with chicken and chorizo and thought it was delish.
