Squish all left over veggies together (may need spilsh of milk to "loosen" - but you don't want a wet mixture - like the consistency of mashed spuds). Either put in frying pan and lay out like an omlette, or make "patties" and fry in frylight until crispy - ish and warm. serve with whatever (although gammon goes well!!!)
Just read this back - I am not going to get any cook book awards any time soon am I?:rotfl: with those well known culinary terms, squish and spilsh!!:T
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:You have all made me chuckle with your responses to my squish and splish.
In response to the egg thing - it would work but what I was meaning was that you should kind of fill the pan - erm, like a pizza base...... I don't know how else to explain... erm, make one big pattie or lots of little ones.

Just cooked up a batch of stir fry to take for lunch tomorrow (cabbage, bean sprouts, carrots, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, red onion, mushrooms, chicken style quorn, rice noodles, garlic, ginger and 2 tbsps of oyster sauce) with just 1 syn for the oyster sauce! Going to have my trusty bran flakes and milk for breakfast with a bunch of fruit throughout the day and then some type of soup for evening.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Oh good cos thats what I do......well, sort of, I do use meat juices but use a special jug from lakeland to seperate the fat. I say meat juice, its mostly water as I have a good couple of inches of water in the bottom of the roasting tin and use that!! Its amazing how much fat floats out, I love my special jug!!!0 -
Peachyest - so sorry to hear about your Dad xx
Girls, I'm so proud of myself tonight. Normally on Burns Night (having an early one) I'd say **** it and eat & drink copius amounts but tonight I was so :A
I declined the first whisky.
I had one spoonful of haggis (guesstimating 6) & lots of neeps & tatties (milk only in it, no butter).
Half a glass of wine (3) instead of the 5 the others had & half a 25ml serving of whisky to toast the haggis (2?)
Declined cheese & biscuits & had a redbush tea instead! Had ONE After Eight instead of the two or three everyone else had (2.5?)
13.5 syns - that was getting off lightly! :rotfl:
Sis in Law came up specially as we're trying to decide what to do with FIL - he has Dementia & it's got significantly worse recently - he's been banned from driving & since we know that he'd ignore it we've confiscated his keys. SIL wants him to move into an annex with her family but he's refusing. We live in the same village as him in the middle of nowhere so it's not a good outcome - and OH & I are out 12 hours a day so can't help taking him places.

any old vegetables will do, Ali, it doesn't have to have cabbage in (not in our family anyway!) I cook it on the George Foreman grill, it comes out lovely without using any oil at all. Personally, I'd do an egg to eat alongside rather than in with it, but that's just me:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Evening all,
Peachyest, so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. Grief is a funny old thing, and can creep up on you when you least expect it, so don't be surprised in the months to come when you become a blubbering wreck when filling up the washing machine one morning like I did. It's all part of the process. I was bereaved almost 7 years ago, and only last night I dreamt of my DH, and we were house viewing 'somewhere'. It's rather odd when that happens, because it's like he visits from time to time, and my brain forgets temporarily that he's not meant to be here. Take care of yourself, and make sure you spend time around those who are keen to hear/share stories of your dad, to help keep his memory alive.
MrsM, I think I'd go for inserting those scales where the sun doesn't shine to the Chief Exec of the company! A few lb can be forgiven, but stones??!!! That's taking the mickey a bit too much.
Today has been OK... until I ate pie!
Extra Easy
B - FF activia, apricot, banana
L - Mugshot, mixed salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pepper), ham
D - Roast chicken, SW roast potatoes, mash, carrots, broccoli, peas, gravy (2 syns), Apple Pie (11 syns) custard (5 syns)
HEA - milk
HEB - Fibre Plus bar
18 syns the day before weigh in is probably not the cleverest idea in the world.
I'm also concerned that I'm not eating enough superfrees... partly because I get confused what is/isn't superfree. Somewhere in my head I got all veg (apart from peas, sweetcorn, parsnips & potatoes) down as being superfree, even though I know now that they aren't.
For a few ideas, what do you guys all have regularly to ensure you're getting your superfrees, particularly if you're doing EE?
Tomorrow I plan to make a dynorod soup, and a quiche, so I am going to be better prepared next week, and plan to really go for it (even though * is looming. Probably all the more reason to knuckle down harder).
Skint - that's a tough dilemma. My best friend has had to put her mum into a care home this year due to dementia and now a stroke. The problem with dementia is that they do have times of lucidity, and others where they're trying to fit pieces of a jumbled puzzle together, but then they are totally unable to recall simple things. It's such a horrible disease, and distressing for loved ones to witness, let alone have to contend with on a daily basis. I know my BFF struggled to cope with her mum not being able to tell the time anymore, because it meant she'd keep strange sleeping patterns, going off out for walks in the middle of the night, ringing up in the wee small hours asking if they fancied coming round for coffee (when she remembered how the phone worked of course). I hope your family manages to resolve the worry soon.
Right, well to paraphrase MC Hammer, I'd better Stop! It's showertime!
Have a good week y'all. Day 1 again for me tomorrow, and back in the gym to work off that pie that's now going to haunt me.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home0 -
I'm sad tonight:(
I started back at SW a few months ago and decided to go with the EE plan. I lost a bit but it took forever and it's not staying off.
Is anybody out there feeling that EE is not working for them?
I probably sound very negative but I'm not honestly. I really tried 100% and some people on it were losing huge amounts but sadly not me.
My friend reckons it's because they must have been huge or very unhealthy eaters prior to starting.0 -

Are you going to a class? If so what does your consultant say? Do a food diary and post it on here, we might be able to pick up on anything you haven't noticed.
