Urrrrrgh I feel like sh*t, this cough is making my head hurt & my throat sore & my chest, ribs & stomach hurt oh and everything else hurts :( on the plus side I have been sipping water all day [lost count of the loo visits though]. The down side is I can't stop eating. Was mostly good stuff i.e. fruit & yog plus a friendly curry with noodles but then the white toast, spread & lemon curd attacked me and I was too weak to resist, oh and the bag of crisps and the mini flake too :o. Still feel hungry though :o:o:o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Hope you feel better soon Take It Eazy:A

I'm struggling on, most definitely not SW though:eek:

Have had 2 dry weetabix with a little sugar, mini packet iced gems, 1/2 a slice of toast and butter. Small bottle Irn Bru and some water. Been dozing off and on. Feeling like poo.

when you do this I am assuming its left overs from the night before, if you take things from the freezer do you ever cook them from frozen or leave to defrost, i took stir fry the other day left over from the night before but there was still more than i would have had for lunch so I had:o to eat later in the evening would i have been able to freeze one portion do you reckon and made two lunches out of it?

Thanks for help sorry to be a pain but really need to do it this time and looking for all the inspiration i can get

Hi Pickle, not exactly leftovers, I usually make fresh the night before, although I may use the same base (casserole, curry, joint of meat) and do different vegetables each day. I've not taken anything frozen, some do, but it takes them ages in the blooming ONE microwave that we have to share! I don't even put mine into the fridge when I'm at work, I keep it ambient so it heats thru faster.

Dunno if it's because I'm older (pre-fridge as a child!) generation but I wouldn't bother freezing something, it's fine in the fridge for days on end, honestly! I only freeze if I get bored with something.:D

  • Ok, who bought all the bogof Milk Chocolate Fibre Plus bars in Morrison's?! And more worryingly, who bought all the scanbrans in Holland & Barrett?! :naughty: Only 2 battered boxes of FP left on the shelf (loads of the dark chocolate) & zero, zilch, nada scanbrans!! I'm guessing it's everyone on this thread, lurkers or otherwise!! :rotfl:

    Anyway, hello peeps :hello:

Blackberry, what have you read about the flaxseed capsules?? I know you have to be careful with whole linseeds (if you have diverticulitis??) but not heard anything about capsules.

I'm having yet another green day today:

B - 2 chocolate weetabix (HEB + 2), banana, rasps, milk (half HEA)
L - baked spud, beans, 21g light cheese (half HEA), pear
D - Asda chickpea dahl, SW chips, Co-op wholemeal pitta (HEB), 2 clems

Will have another glass of vino tonight for 6 syns, maybe even 2 glasses as I've only had 2 syns so far today?! ;)

Hope everyone's having a good weekend

oh shoot I can't remember now, I couldn't remember 2 minutes later! Only bit I remember is "it's not all good" :rotfl:it's the same with anything though isn't it? I still haven't remembered to take any :rotfl:

BUT ooooh I am enjoying having full fat yoghurt again, I am perfectly willing to syn it, it is just so DIVINE after that awful flat tasteless fat free stuff. (sorry, only read one page yet, I promise I shan't respond to everything individually!)

Hey everyone, quite proud of myself, we had an indian last night and I managed to just have chicken tikka with no sauce and some mushroom rice. Usually I would pig out on loads of different side dishes, but it was really quite nice (and used up the extra syns from this week!).

Went out and bought some gluten free bread and pasta so I don't have the vomiting after eating gluten thing again.

Quick question, what books would you rec. buying from SW? I have my eye on the new Food Directory for the year (I haven't bought one before) and the extra easy cookbook.

I've been away for the weekend so skim read the posts. Get well soon to all those not feeling good (glad your leg it ok Skintslimmer!). *HUGS* for all those remembering lost loved ones, it's been just over a year since my Grandad passed away and it was hard to celebrate my Dads 50th this weekend without him.

I have been exceptionally good this weekend food wise. I've gone over my syns, but probably not enough to cause a problem. Yesterday I was faced with party food! We stopped at services (with McDonalds) on the way down and I had a bacon baguette with no butter. I had a tagliatelle ready meal before I went to the party for 5.5 syns and I had 2 small 1 inch square pieces of cake.

Today I've had 2 slices of toast for brekkie. We went out for lunch and I had creamy garlic mushrooms, roast lamb, ice cream. I'll have fish, veg and potatoes for dinner.

I'm just wiping the syn slate clean and it would take too long to try and work out the syn value of what I've eaten.
  • Evening all

Well yesterday was most definately a non SW day :(:rotfl:. I went to Birmingham for the OS meet. I started off with best of intentions - SW fry up for breakfast, bag of fruit for journey. But when I got to the pub we were meeting at there was no jacket spuds on menu (unlike the online menu from website). So I had veggie saugage and mash and 2 glasses of wine. I left the OSers to meet up with a friend. We had planned on having a nice meal out at an Italian and few drinks, but we spent too long nattering and got to restaurant too late so ended up in Pizza Express as this was the only place serving! I did have the Leggaro pizza so not too bad, but not great either!!

On the plus side, I got straight back on SW wagon this morning, and I did lots of walking over the weekend so hopefully I've limited the damage. Really want to lose 1.5lbs this week to get to half a stone loss this year. I did have about 25 syns saved, plus yesterdays 15 and todays so finger's crossed! Will WI tomorrow.

    Green day:

    B - 2 x alpen lights (HEB)
L - pasta bake, cheese (HEA), salad
D - salad, cheese (HEA and HEB), pickled onions, HB egg, LF salad cream (1.5syns)
    Snacks - banana
    Drinks - water, NAS squash

    Total syns = 1.5

Sorry I have been mia, its so busy on here I have been reading but as I had nowt interesting to add I kept quiet (not that it normally stops me :p)
Well done on the losses folks :T and hope those feeling poorly are on the mend soon ...

Well -we shall start with the good news - I have lost 4lbs this week bliss.gif (and its * week eek.gif) which means I got my 7.5st shiney party0048.gif..... and THAT is where the good news ends sad0071.gif as I then got out the new set of scales (some of you might remember that I thought my scales were well out -weighing me lighter than I should be) ..... now put down your cuppas folks as I don't want anyone choking.... the new scales weigh me in at 3st9lbs heavier faint2.gif... looking on the bright side Im still over half way there (81lbs to go) and have still lost 107lbs as I had these scales from the start-oooohh and even if my average weekly loss settles at 1lb a week I will still be at target before I go to do the Nepal trek biggrin.gif. My poor hubby was gutted on my behalf when he saw the difference, I think Im taking it better than he is giggle.gif - the more I lost the more I thought my scales were wrong, mainly because I had seen photos on here of other people of "my" weight and they were much smaller -now I know why rotflmao.gif oh and whilst Im looking on the bright side I have a wardrobe full of pretty colthes now -mainly in 18s and some 16s ...so at least I haven't changed sizes tongue.gif..
So then my neighbour is phoning the company that produce the original scales for me and we will take it from there -but they WILL be getting them back -and that is putting it mildly!!!

anyhoo -moving on - I have decided that after a 4lb loss I will give EE another whirl this week wink.gif-here is todays meal plan:-
    OMFG! :eek::eek:
That is bloody mad, I'm glad you are taking ok, I guess the huge loss already has softened the blow, you have done amazing so far, a true inspairation xx:A
  • ps - I did manage to get hold of the new 2011 food directory whilst I was away :) the lovely Taplady (from the OS board) got me a copy from her group and passed it onto me yesterday!

Weren't you tempted to lick your fingers when you were doing those flowers? It must have been a huge temptation!

I wanted to ask what sort of gravy you'll have for 2 syns? Is it granules or do you make your own? Enjoy your meal.:)
142ml of gravy made up from granules or powder, adding no meat juices is 2 syns.
