  • Hiya peachy, I didn't blend the soup until my last couple of bowlfuls (I freeze in portions) & tbh I much preferred it blended, especially with a sprinkle of ground cumin in - it was bloomin' lush!! Why not have a bowlful unblended & then one blended the next day & see what you think.

Getting really muddled with my posts but over the weekend I posted that I was not doing well with EE and a couple of people asked me to post up a typical day's food.

I posted this a few weeks ago .............
    ...................................
    Here's my EE day

Brekkie - 1 oz cereal with skimmed milk and a banana. (Incs A & B)

Lunch 2 slices grilled bacon, 1 egg fried in fry lite. 2 x Ryvita with scrape of Flora Pro-Activ. (Counted as syns) Few grapes.

Dinner. Lambs Liver & Onion (Cooked SW way) with potatoes and peas. Dessert - Raspberries (from freezer) with Meringue Nest (counted as syns).

    ....................................

That's probably not that typical because I'd normally have more veg than just peas.

I tend to use my syns with things like a meringue nest, options sachet, sometimes cappucino sachet, small glass Lambrusco now and then, very occasionally a pkt of low fat crisps. So nothing too terrible and I do 10 - 15 usually.

I love fruit and veg. I only ever have skimmed milk. I don't take sugar. I have flora pro-activ.spread. I never eat pastry, cakes, sweets and never fry anything.
  • hey everyone :D

is there room for another ?

I am starting sw today again :o I just plan on doing it myself and not going to classes, if I struggle I will reconsider.

I weighed myself today and I am shocked at the amount I have put on  but I am ready to change my attitude about food.

I have been reading the thread and there seems to be loads of tips and inspiration :T
    Welcome birdie! :j
It's a really nice group of people in here x

Hi everyone, I am trying to stay right on the sw wagon this week after maintaining last week. I think today counts as green, not too sure.
    b - 2 choc weetabix w/milk and blueberries
l - carrot and parsnip soup
s - grapes, apple, sw apricot choc brownie (4)
t - dd made tuna fish cakes at school so 1 fishcake (counting tuna as HEB) mushy peas carrots and sw chips.

I found the apricot choc brownie recipe in a sw mg from 2005 I was given. Before i eat them too often I think I need to check the syn values to make sure it is the same as things seem to change sometimes.

I love that 'phillinara' I used half a 200g tub for OH and myself and synned it at about 3.5 as on EE everything else was free.. I loved your pic DKAM. Could you give me a brief description of how you made it? Mine was delicious but looked a bit grey (probably becasue I stirred the cheese into the mushrooms and bacon pan)

I just made it through trial and error:
Bacon (heb), mushrooms, garlic, fried in a pan, stired in 42g philly light (3syn), added wholemeal spaghetti , cooked through.

  • Hey!! Wow. It seems like forever since i was last on here. I think i've been spending too much time on the Boots Sale threads!! LOL.

Am still struggling - have been feeling awful due to these stupid allergies.. I wouldn't mind if i actually knew for definate what it is I'm allergic to!!

Peachyest - I was almost bordering on tears reading about your sad loss and all the messages from the girls on here. I can't imagine how you're feeling right now. I found when my nan passed away that trying to think hard about the funny moments made things a little easier. Have a big squishy Vixie_Pixie cuddle ((((((((((CUDDLE)))))))))))

Food has been Extra Easy today.

    B - 28g Shreddies (+ w/g cb + lemon curd - HEB+1syn) banana, raspberries

    S - Pear, plum 2x clementines

    L - Sausage and potato salad (2x sausages = 2 mayo/mustard mix 1syn, superfree - cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce, celery)

    Nougat Bar (4)

D - Thai Green Chicken Curry + boiled rice (8 :o) I'm addicted.... majorly addicted (superfree - carrot, mushrooms, onion, bamboo shoots) I made my own paste too using the contents of an Asda Thai pack you buy in the veg section - you get garlic, galangal, lemongrass, shallots and birds eye chillis :) I stuck some added ginger in for good measure too! :)

Ok I'm 1 syn over today so it could've been much worse!

My cravings for Thai Green curry are seriously getting out of control... at least i can make my own and I don't have to result to the asian food stall like i did on friday :o oops. Its becoming one of those things that if i crave it I must have it that night!! :)
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

    new beginnings...... new successes..

Have just signed my life away for online support and have just tried to enter the food I have eaten today. Oh my god its dire, is it just me or is it actually rubbish. For eg today I had salad for lunch and part of my syns was 50g Tesco finest coleslaw, I went to input it and it does not let you edit the amount so I have to add 100g to my diary at the cost of 6.5 syns.

I also wanted to input my own recipes, I made chilli tonight and wanted to put my recipe on as it would have a minute syn value due to the tbsp of treacle I always add at the end.

Please someone help, I only signed up because I wanted to do my food diary online. It says once you pass a certain point then you are committed but it seems very unfair as you don't actually get to see how crap the food entry is until you have pressed that button.

I don't remember the online side via class being this rubbish.
