Hi all, well first day of the weekend and I've not done too badly methinks! Declined the wine offered by OH tonight too :A

B; bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomato & baked beans
D; duck breast, cabbage, mixed roast veg (carrots, parsnip, garlic, celery) & roast potato's. (Mom also gave us a starter - prawn cocktail - the ony downside was she put a little marie rose sauce on it so counting as 4 syns)
HEa was milk in my 2 cups of tea today & HEb will be a fibre plus bar with my tea (bought 3 boxes at Tesco last week but there was loads left for others - why does no one like the dark chocolate? :rotfl: )

Tomorrow, we're having 'Burn's Night' as my OH is away next week - goddam I love haggis but at 3 syns per 28g I think I've going to have a lot of neeps & tatties! One whiskey & no wine for me again. :(

    I WILL, I WILL, I WILL LOSE 2LB THIS WEEK! :T

    C xx

    Evening all,

Sorry I've been AWOL since Wednesday. I've no idea where the time goes, but you lot can't half guff a lot on here... it's taken me an hour and a half just to catch up!

TakeitEazy, I was thinking exactly the same thing while reading through, that MrsM hasn't posted since earlier this week. I hope all's OK with her in snowy Germany?

I've been a good girl and did my full 3 sessions at the gym last week. I do hope they have a positive effect for next week's WI, because I've been feeling much more peckish this week, and fighting cravings to snack on stuff I shouldn't.

    Food today: EE

    HEA - milk
    B - FF Activia, satsuma x 2
L - bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes
D - H/M burgers (so lush!), wm roll (HEB), SW chips, mixed salad, ketchup (2 syns)
Snacks - WW yogurt (yuk), banana, plum, fruitcake (7 syns)

Dinner was an absolute winner yet again, and tasted bl00dy lovely.

If anyone needs a colonic it's my BF, after he ate a more than healthy portion of fruitcake this afternoon, I'm concerned he's going to blow the roof off. I literally cannot hold a scented candle to him, for fear of blowing the house up!

Dizzy have a lovely time in Bruges. I lived in Belgium for a couple of years, and the best part of it was the architecture, steak & frites and croque monsiuer in the cafes. I found the smell of the waffles from the stands a bit sickly tbh, and my abiding memory of living there is that everyone seemed to use a deep fat fryer every dinner time... you could smell the stale hot oil in the air every evening.

  • Just wondered if the sw roast potatoes posted earlier were syn free if using the spray oil...is it called frylight?! Or does that contain syns but not as many as normal cooking oil?! Sorry for a simple question but I've not used it before and know that normal oil was bad!
Syn free roasties sounds too good to be true!!

giggalon, yes, if you use a spray like Frylight, then the SW roasties are free. Marvellous, isn't it?

It's only minimal syns if you don't have any to hand, and need to use something like 1tsp of olive oil anyway, which is still fab for an entire tray of potatoes.

giggalon - frylight is free - no syns regardless of how much you spray - just don't pour ;)
Olive oil can be used as a HEb if you prefer though.
