dizzy there is a beatiful old church in bruge town centre - you have to have a look it is stunning - if you like that sort of thing !!
Toatally agree mummy, it's really beautiful. Dizzy, you'll find the entrance tucked in the corner of the smaller of the two central squares. Fabulously ornate and atmospheric. But keep away from the chip museum!!!!blackberry-rum wrote: »there is no law (SW or UK law!) that says you have to eat cereal or bread at breakfast - eat what you want.
*bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms in the GF grill
*half the allowance of Allbran plus yoghurt and some chopped fruit (all bran is very filling - have an Alpen light later for the other half HEB)
*corn on the cob (3 mins in microwave)
*microwave omelette (fill it with precooked diced potato and onion from the night before, delicious)
*bubble & squeak using leftover vegetables mashed together and squished onto the GF grill. Takes about 10 mins to cook but that's when you are showering & getting makeup on.
that's a few ideas, eat what you want, we are supposed to enjoy our food otherwise there's no point eating it imo.:D
Agree about having a good breakfast. I'd add microwaving kippers to the list too (tiny syn in the pat of butter). I've also found that if you use WW Brown Danish (2 for £1 in Asda) you can have one slice piled high with baked beans for breakfast and keep two for later in the day.0 -

I think I need to sort it out more frequently :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Don't worry about it, LittleBitDizzy, I am currently eating a box of LaughingCow I found at the back of the fridge from 2009. And it's fine!!:eek:0 -
morning everyone , today is day 4 for me so this morning I jumped
on the scales to see if any difference - and there is none.
Now I am really worried , years ago when I did slimming world I could not loose weight no matter how hard I tried , my consultant checked my food diary and said I am doing it right- so in the end I put it down to my medication and gave up.
I am so desperate to loose weight , my husband is lovely and slim and
I feel ashamed how overweight I have become.
So far I have done red days, and have only had 1 A & 1 B choice daily. I have decided to do green days at the weekend to keep things different.
I have joined slimming world online so I can check everything I eat.
I also have been going to the gym every other day and do 20 mins of keeping my heart rate over 135 beats per min.
Does anyone know is there anything else I can do ?Kindness costs nothing0 -
morning all...just a quick note to say that I was in Home Bargains this morning and they had batchelors pasta n sauces for 49p, also had colemans ones (but never tried them so don't know what they are like or if they are free)...they had savory rice various flaves for around 49p
And Mugshots are 3 for £1 in poundland at the moment

Why don't you post up your food (everything you eat and drink) and see if we can help or see anything that might be adding extra/hidden syns.
In the 11 (very nearly 12 years) I've been going to SW on and off I've never know it not work if someone is sticking to the plan 100%.
Already by having less healthy extras you're not sticking to the plan, i'm not telling you off, just observing. Healthy extras B's gives us extra fibre which help keep us regular
Are you weighing and measuring the healthy extras you are having? if you're using the A for milk in your tea are you measuring it out in the morning and using that milk or are you guestimating? same with cereal if you're having that, are you weighing it? I use digital scales because they are accurate, you can pick a pair up quite cheap if you shop around. if you are taking bread is it coming from the 400g (little) loaf or are you taking 2 slices from the 800g loaf by accident? is it wholemeal instead of granary or seeded etc. I know these all seem like really obvious things but they are things I can forget and when it do I scratch my head and wonder why I'm not losing or even gaining.
Are you drinking enough water?
Are there hidden syns in the meals your cooking? cornflour? sauces? condiments? a touch of butter or drop of milk in mash?
Anyway that's enough from me...post us up your food and let's see if we can help you:T

Another idea is to hardboil a few eggs, you can grab a couple as you leave if you eat cereal and remain hungry. Some things I have for breakfast (mind, I make sure I have time for breakfast as I love it) are:
*bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms in the GF grill
*half the allowance of Allbran plus yoghurt and some chopped fruit (all bran is very filling - have an Alpen light later for the other half HEB)

It was all healthy anyway, lean pork etc.0 -

Don't sneaky peak during the week! Your weight naturally fluctuates from day to day by as much as 7lb so what you say on the scales today bears no relation to what they will say on WI day. one WI a week, same time, same place, similar clothing. And even then you should try and look at your losses monthly rather than weekly to allow for hormonal changes.0 -
Morning all.
I have been so busy the past 3 days, hectic! started a literacy course, been to lots of toddler groups too.
I'm having a green day today, am I right in thinking that curry sauce from the !!!!!! is 6 syns????
I got some the other day and divided into 4 as I only like a bit and my son had some too, so want to have it with chips for lunch.0 -
ahh thank you , that will reasure me if I post everything I eat for a while, I just dont want to annoy people asking quesions too much.
I use electronic scales to weigh everything , and eat
the small wholemeal 57g rolls.
I thought having less A's & B's would help.
I have to drink lots of water to help "up" my blood pressure
(its too low).
I measure 250ml of soya milk every morning and pour it into a small bottle to keep in the fridge ( i probally dont drink all of this cos I only drink half cups of teas) .
I am checking everything I use in my cooking, usually make curry sauce with tomatos , herbs and stock cube.
cant think of anything else , but I will plod on and see what happens.
Thanks again.Kindness costs nothing0 -
