Oh yum, that sounds like my kinda soup  lurve thick soup!!
Happy Birthday to you, hope you enjoyed your birthday voddies  & fingers (or should that be legs?!) crossed for the colonic tomorrow, rather you than me m'dearie!!:rotfl:
For my fellow scanbran loversHolland & Barrett are having a 'buy one, get 2nd half price' deal on everything in store so I'm off to stock up tomorrow
Someone asked earlier on about half & half HEA - I've started doing that, although I don't know if it's SW approved. For example I have 175ml skimmed milk (full HEA is 350ml) and 3 extra-light laughing cow cheese triangles (full HEA is 6) to make a full HEA. Hope that makes sense?!0 -
Hi all, just a quick check-in from me.
Food diary: green:

pasta, tuna (b), philly (a) mayo (2.5)
SW roasties, gravy,(2.5) lamb (b), veggies
3 x chocolates (7.5)
milk in t&C (a)

I'm doing extra easy as I haven't got my head around red or green yet! I read 37 syns in the book too and thought eeeeek!!!! Although iv only used 5.5 of my syns so far this week can you save them up to go towards a big night or do you lose your syns if you don't use them each day?!
X
Yes sweetie you can, my mum uses all her syns at weekends and it works for her (mostly wine - what a lush!) but I personally think you are better using then on a day to day basis mostly but whatever suits you!
Just enjoy your meal and don't feel guilty."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
Question
Is gammon actually free?
I typed in the tesco value gammon steaks and they came up at 5 syns for a steak - thought that is probably why they are value (2steaks for £1) so i double checked with the other gammon steaks that tesco stocks and they all come up as syns - ranging from 2.5 to 5 syns - the values are for the gammon with the fat trimmed
Does that mean i can't have a free gammon steak any more?
It says it is in my book (over a year out of day mind you!)
What is really strange is it says Tesco gammon joint with honey glaze is free too, go figure!!!!!!!!"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -
Evening all
Another v busy day at work so no time to think bout food :j and I turned down choccie biscuits in the office too. I went out for a meal after work for my friend's birthday. She chose Chiquitos so I had the veggie chilli with rice, the only syns on a green day would be any oil as it was all free - book says 3.5syns so I'll go with that. We did share some nachos, but I only had 5 so about 10syns for that? I only had salsa with them not sour cream/cheese/guacamole.
Green day:
B - oats (HEB), Ff yog
L - pasta with LF pesto (1.5syns)
D - veggie chilli (3.5syns), rice, nachos (10?syns)
Snacks - banana, pear,
Drinks - coffee (HEA for skimmed milk), water, soda water
Exercise - wore toning boots all day
Total syns = 15?
I'm happy with that!
Still have a HEB so will have a fibre plus in a mo

Just weighed in and can't believe I've lost 1.5lbs - that NEVER happens to me in my 2nd week - usually my body goes into shock and I stall (plus I have a bad weekend but I did save 30 syns for what I didn't count
)
Ok, I was 0.5lb off my target of 2lbs to get my half stone award but I'm still very, very, very, very, very happy with it. It shows my home scales are 2lbs out from the SW ones too.
Also got Slimmer of the Week somehow & got a bag of fruit, pilchards & 3 cans of baked beans. Onward & downward.

Blimey SS sounds a bit dramatic, are you sure you shouldn't get it checked, I feel a bit queasy _pale_
Feels like a bad day for me so lets add it up and see (that's a sign of a bad day I don't even know my syns!)
B - Porridge (HEA and HEB)
S - Banana
L - HM veg soup and low fat noodles
S - Snackpot and approx 40 (overestimated) jelly belly beans (8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), wasn't even a handful but I did eat one by one.
D - Spaghetti with spinach and roasted peppers and Cranks pasta sauce (3) full fat cheddar (didn't weigh so more like 2oz rather than one (12)
S - 2 finger kitkat (5.5) and white choc options (1.5)
so that's a total 30 syns, only had 18 over last three days sso still ok but feel bad, I didn't sleep well last night and was really hungry when I came in, its a bit of a lesson in being unprepared so onwards and upwards tomorrow.
Lots of birthdays on here this last week or so, have to add mine to the list for Monday but I'm not a big birthday fan so will be keeping it slimming world friendly as usual"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0 -

:j:j:j fab news about the scan bran, I'll be off to stock up myself tomorrow lunch time me thinksmy consultant was selling them in class but I forgot to ask how much they were, are they usually cheaper in class or HB? (when they're not on offer)
Our consultant calls mixing up HE like that 'tweeking the plan' and said to keep an eye on it cos for some people weight loss can slow down. I don't see how that works at all, as long as you're not going over It'd still be a HE choice...but then she also said not to blend soup the other day because it works in the same principle orange juice (ie you have more than you would if you ate the eqiv oranges whole) but then she went on to say if you do only to have one bowl instead of two or three in a day...so god only knows :rotfl:*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -

hurrah, congrats on the loss and being slimmer of the weekthat reminded me we didn't have the slimmer of the week award in our class this week, I only joined it the week before so I don't know if that's normal or not but in the past every other class I've been to has done SOW
and in other news...I ended up going red today after a neutral breakfast and lunch, and had pork stir fry YUM*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150
