That looks lovely, must give it a try. A quick question about tomato puree: in this month's magazine there's a recipe for lamb burgers using tomato puree and it says the whole recipe is free on EE. Is that a mistake do you think? I've never really understood why passata is free yet a tbsp of puree is synned (inserts confused smilie), you're hardly likely to eat a whole tube??
I never syn Tomato puree because it doesn't make sense to me either - and for MSE purposes why would I open a pack or jar of passata and have to use it or lose it within a couple of days, when a tube of puree lasts months if necessary.

Hi all.....can I just have a rant please?!

My OH sold his old sofa on EBay using my ID and has left me to deal with it!! He sold the chair too which worked out great.......
    Am i being unreasonable?...
I'm so wound up about it I bet that doesn't even make sense to anyone else!!!! I've enough stress at work at the minute without this lot....have told OH he can sort his own ebay stuff out in future and I certainly won't be using the stuuuuuupid thing again!!!
    and breathe!!!!

Ebay's fab when it works .... but I won't sell large stuff on there ever again, it's just too much faff. No, you are definitely NOT being unreasonable. By now I would have cancelled the transaction and offered the sofa on freecycle!

  • Hi all, do you want me to write out today's food? (Can you tell I'm at home this week? I have all this TIME on my hands)
Breakfast: corn on the cob (free) with a smear of butter because it's my birthday, 1 syn (less than 1 really)
Breakfast (still peckish): gigantic bowl of melon, pineapple and mango, with Muller light (free and superfree).
Lunch: more of yesterday's flan/quiche (spinach, garlic, mushrooms, onions - superfree; eggs free; 1 syn of mozarella) and some microwaved cherry tomatoes superfree.
Pub: 2 birthday shots of vodka (8) in diet coke (free)
Supper: just making soup with onions, garlic, chilli, butternut squash, carrot (bleurrrgh) all superfree, plus potato (free) and when it's blended I might just add a can of beans (free). Might as well have something to get rid of at that colonic irrigation tomorrow :D:D:D

HEA milk in coffee; HEB ryvita minis
    snack so far, Mandarin (superfree).

    Am full.

i think its because the puree is made with oil to preserve it......so there are syns in it, where passata is just pure seived toms, but I have to agree with you both that if you put a spoonful in a big potful of whatever you're cooking & that is portioned up into a fair few meals- then I dont syn it as to me its negligable ;)

    Hello everyone..

Men v Women - my OH did SW at the same time as me last year, now he did have 7 stone more weight on him than me but he lost 4 stone in 16 weeks, whilst i lost just under 2 stone... Our consultant used to say that men lose weight twice as fast so to compare myself to him i'd need to double what i'd actually lost - it made me happier anyway!! :rotfl:

Have just had this posted on Facebook
    http://www.slimmingeats.com/blog/thin-and-crispy-ham-and-vegetable-pizza#

has anyone tried it? I've used mashed potato before as a pizza base and it was on the nasty side.. this one looks better..
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

Happy Birthday Blackberry Rum - sounds like you are having a nice day!
Hope the colonic goes well - as I said before - it is an interesting experience. Without going into too many details all I can say is that the quote from the 'experience' for me was "who's been eating sweet corn?"....... so be aware of what you eat today will be seen tomorrow! lol
