Wootball - If she's finding it hard to get 1/3rd superfree perhaps she should try red/green days instead? Also, try and up the exercise. Plus her weightloss will probably be linked to her monthly cycle. Doesn't matter how good I am if it's the wrong time of the month the I will almost always show a gain. I just have to remember to not get disheartened and the losses come the week after. To me, Gammon = thick ham. Ham = free. Gammon = free.mmmmm???? well it says in the SW book that gammon is free? thats very confusing.......I wonder if the ones listed in tesco are cured with added things, maybe sugars etc giving them syns (just a thought)
Lean gammon is free. Gammon with fat is 1.5 syns per 28g on red and EE. So that's probably where the syns come from.0 -

That is litterally all it is 1 big B.squash, 1 big S.pot and about 3-4 parsnips and onion and couple of cloves garlic.
I tend to cook them off a little first then stuck all my veg in and a little bit of curry powder gives it a lovely warm, mild spice taste tooit makes enough for me to take to work for a week
Aha, found it, thanks Veryvery
Wootball, does your OH measure herself?? That might give her a boost if she sees inch loss?? I do feel for her because I know I would be really [STRIKE]peed off[/STRIKE] disheartened if I wasn't losing weight although I tell myself that what it says on the scales is not the be all and end all, hard to put that into practice though.0 -
Well I took the plunge and joined on Monday, was very exciting and such a relief to hear everyone in the group had lost something this week!
So far I've been doing quite well, snacking on as much fruit as I can which is a big change for me!
Although I was wondering if you could half the healthy extra A as I don't drink as much milk in a day as they recommend, but would love a little bit of cheese too....is that possible to do?
I was on a roll today with a huge fruit salad for breakfast...and the corner shop only stocked ww White Danish bread so I had 2 slices with 2 poached eggs and beans for lunch....gutted to realise it's not a HEB!!!
Apart from that, I have a work night on Friday at Chiquitos and would like to have a chicken burrito...kidney beans and rice must be good, does anyone know how much that would be as a syn please as I can't access the sw Internet thing on my phone for some reason!
Hope everyone else is having a great week!

Hi all.....can I just have a rant please?!
My OH sold his old sofa on EBay using my ID and has left me to deal with it!! He sold the chair too which worked out great.......a lovely man rang me to arrange collection, came when it suited me and was exactly on time even though he was 200 miles away....and paid cash on collection as requested.
The lady who won the sofa....firstly paid by paypal when cash was stated. This increased the already ridiculous fees by £5!!! I then got an email saying could she have my phone no. and adress to arrange for a courier to collect and that it would be Thurs this week or next. I gave her my details and explained that due to me and OH working full time, thurs morning this week (Today) would be best as OH is on afternoon shift so could be there. then heard nothing for a couple of days. She then contacted me to say it'd be collected today between 5-6.30pm which isn't convinient, I already had plans which I've had to cancel. She also said the courier would ring me to confirm....they never did! I text her earlier asking her to get confirmation....the reply was it will now be between 6-8pm. This is all made worse by the fact I am 30 miles away at our other house (she knows this) as I'm in the process of moving out of the other house and have no t'internet there. I also need to be back here and have tea cooked for OH coming home from work at 9pm. I can't believe someone would organise to collect something from someone they don't know without checking with them first that its convenient!!! Am i being unreasonable?
I'm so wound up about it I bet that doesn't even make sense to anyone else!!!! I've enough stress at work at the minute without this lot....have told OH he can sort his own ebay stuff out in future and I certainly won't be using the stuuuuuupid thing again!!!

How to succeed with Slimming World
1. Set realistic goals - changing too much at once is setting yourself up for a fall
2. PLAN - planning ahead really is the key. There is no point starting a diet if you shopped yesterday and the cupboards are filled with snacks.
3. SW is a healthy eating plan for LIFE not a faddy diet - include the things you love... everything in moderation
4. Use your syns - they are there to help you and stop you feeling deprived. Starting off thinking you are being good not using your syns won’t work long term.
5. Follow any eating plan 100% - half hearted attempts and tweaking things here and there may not give you the results you expect
6. If you slip up don't worry - just try again... NEVER GIVE UP
7. Put a photo of yourself on the fridge of how you used to look or cut a figure out of a magazine of how you'd like to look.
8. Don't stick with the same food. Have plenty of variety & try out new recipes & foods so you don't get bored. This is not a diet just a healthy way of eating!
9. Set yourself treats/rewards for each mini goal you reach - things such as an hour reading or a manicure, new book, massage - it doesn't have to be expensive but something you don't normally make time for.
10. Before you eat something with a large syn value ask yourself the question "Is it worth the syns" if you don’t know the value check them out first.
11. Measure yourself on a monthly basis, you might not have lost much weight in one month but you will have lost Inches!!!0 -

Giggalon - you will soon get the hang of it, there is a lot to take in when you first start. If you have any questions just ask and one of the clever people on here will know the answer. Main points to remember are at least 1/3 superfree at each meal and drink lots of water.0
