Your dinner sounds lovely, what's in the sauce apart from mushrooms? I bet there's not Mush-Room for anything else! :rotfl:

It was lovely! Also, love the bad jokes on this page:rotfl: I make two portions at a time (so I can take one for lunch at work to stop me buying the ever-present chips in the work cnteen):

    1/2 can chopped tomatoes
    150g button mushrooms
    1 clove garlic
    1 v small onion, chopped
70ml stock (I use chicken, but you can use veg)
2 lvl tbsp tomato puree (1 syn on all plans)
    oregano
    parsley

Fry the onion and garlic in frylight for approx 3 mins. Add mushrooms and fry for another 3 mins. Add tomatoes and stock and simmer for 10 mins. Add herbs and tomato puree, simmer for 2 mins and serve with pasta.

If you use dried herbs you need to add them at the same time as the tomatoes. You also don't have to use the tomato paste, but I think it tastes much nicer with it, and its defo worth the syns!

    Food for today:

B - fruit, yog and oats (HEB)
L - chicken pasta salad with feta (HEA)
    D - out for Greek

I'm having a flexi after WI tonight - going out for dinner and I know I won't want to eat the SW way while I'm out. I will have whatever I feel like for main course, but (importantly) stop when I'm full, and not have desert. I also won't be drinking cos I'm driving. Hopefully I can stick to 10 syns per day for the rest of the week and one flexi meal won't do too much damage.

Oh Dizzy, best laid plans and all that - its so frustrating when some well meaning person scuppers your plans for you, isn't it? With any luck the extra oil in those things will help clean through your insides ;)

You're not kidding..... that & the Dyno rod soup have worked:eek: :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi all, just popped on for a quick catch up and a break from my uni work!!! I'm about half way through it and HATE it!!! Theres so much you've got to put into it but with quite a small word count (not that I'd want to have to write more!) and I'm really not sure I'm structuring it right! Ah well, atleast I'm not at work!!!

We had dominoes for tea last night but I ordered it with the reduced fat cheese that they do and it wasn't at all greasy. Back to the plan today and aiming to stick at around 5 syns per day again. I'm having an EE day I think today:

Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B) was going to have a nana to but was full so will have it for a snack
Lunch - jacket potato, cottage cheese mixed with tuna and sweetcorn, salad, melon & grapes, jelly (0.5)
Tea - corned beef stew. Need to calculate syns but think it should be around 5 for the corned beef and a bit of gravy granules. There will be lots of veggies in the stew plus some potatoes.

    Morning All,

I had a lovely surprise when i got home from work last night - DH decided he was taking me out for a meal  - i nearly fainted when he said it - he is even tighter than me with money!

Went to a local pub and had the hunters chicken - i swapped the chips for a jacket potato - swapped peas for beans (even though they came on the wrong plate and had to swap with DH:rotfl:) - gave my onion rings to DH - luckily the BBQ sauce was non existant :rotfl: (they always get something wrong!) I was on a green day & had no syns or hebs during the day so i am going to take the chicken & bacon as heb & cheese as second hea! Oh and i gave the chicken skin to DH aswell (i hated it even before i was on SW!) and i gave the butter away! I had to have some ketchup (1) though as the whole meal was dry! :o All washed down with a diet coke

Resisted a desert but when i got home i had a fibre plus bar (6) small box smarties (3.5) hazelnut options (1.5) and 6 tbsp squirty cream (1.5) (it feels really naughty having squirty cream on hot chocolate!) whilst watching biggest loser USA (recorded) - i love it!

So i ended up using 13.5 syns and both hea and heb's - not bad considering!

    :A

What a successful saintly meal :T:T well done you :j wish I could say the same about mine yesterday :o:rotfl:

This is exactly how I feel. Weighed in tonight and put on another 1 lb!!! I was going to slink in and slink back out again but decided to stay for inspiration.

Hope it worked, I do feel a bit more positive but we'll see.

We all know that if we stick to it it works.

    Good luck to everyone. xx

Well done for biting the bullet & staying to class ;) its all too easy to just put your head down and run awaywhen the scales are mean to you .....but I ALWAYS find the image therapy makes me feel loads better even if Ive had a little gain, It just makes me feel ready to tackle the week ahead. If I didnt stay I know all too well I would come home & demolish something naughty just because I was fed up :(

You go for it this week girl.....climb up on the tank wagon & off we go :D x x smiley-transport011.gif

Some fantastic results from WI last night smiley-score010.gif well done Alisont on getting your 2 stone shiney award!!! smiley-dance005.gif

Its my turn to face the demon scales tonight.....please send some positive vibes this way (need a bit of help to disperse my naughty day yesterday)

Off now to do a bit of yacky Ironing & plan something for lunch & tea.....all I know at the mo is its a green day

That looks lovely, must give it a try. A quick question about tomato puree: in this month's magazine there's a recipe for lamb burgers using tomato puree and it says the whole recipe is free on EE. Is that a mistake do you think? I've never really understood why passata is free yet a tbsp of puree is synned (inserts confused smilie), you're hardly likely to eat a whole tube??

Lost 2.5lbs at my WI this morning, so that's me happy:) Good luck to everyone else.

Lisa did you manage to go to morrisons & see if the fibre plus were BOGOF?

I feel really bad for my OH - she is trying really hard, as far as we can see sticking to plan, and I (and other people) can see that her body composition is changing, she looks like she is losing weight. She has lost 1 1/2 stone so far but the scales over the last couple of weeks have been showing gains despite me and her eating the same thing and me losing 9lbs over the last two weeks. The only thing we have narrowed down is that she doesn't drink enough water and possibly doesn't eat her 1/3 superfree each day, but does anyone have any suggestions? Even though we can see she is losing weight she can't see it, and wants the scales to show her some proof that it's working. She's getting really demotivated.

:( disheartening :( does she tend to eat the same things a lot?

the consultant at group last week was talking about when things go stagnant to have a bit of a shake up and suprise your body by giving it foods/meals it normally doesnt have.

Also try a few days of eating as many superspeed foods as possible (the dyno Rod soup followed by melon & rasberries is fab for this .....tho can make the air a bit stale :o)

Obviously the main one you have already noticed is the water....I dont lose much when I dont get my water intake as I should.

Hope some of this helps a bit?

I'm really hoping so - I plan to do more of the cooking so I can make sure the superfree are being used as 1/3. It's not that I don't trust her in any way but sometimes it's easy for us to say 'I dont fancy veg' with the food so I can make sure that doesn't happen. She struggles to drink water at work because she is a nurse and the NHS are really awful to their staff - they're not allowed to drink on the ward for 'health and safety' reasons which is such crap.

I really hope she can get a loss this week even if it's small, she needs it for herself.
