Oh well put on a lb dont know why been 100%. Evening been eating loads of cherries. The other night was catching up on you lot and realised I had had 500g worth. Maybe cause I was naught the week before and STS it had come back to bite me on the bum (and a very big bum at that). I think I will have to go shopping and see what this dynorod soup is like and maybe a good loss next week. If not I am going back to green days.GC July £250/0

Question
Is gammon actually free?
I typed in the tesco value gammon steaks and they came up at 5 syns for a steak - thought that is probably why they are value (2steaks for £1) so i double checked with the other gammon steaks that tesco stocks and they all come up as syns - ranging from 2.5 to 5 syns - the values are for the gammon with the fat trimmed
Does that mean i can't have a free gammon steak any more?
It says it is in my book (over a year out of day mind you!)0 -
To me, Gammon = thick ham. Ham = free. Gammon = free.Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Definitely, gammon and chips, tomatoes, mushrooms and mushy peas etc is a meal I've seen in the magazines/books.
Woot, I was going to suggest a couple of small things for your OH:- do a food diary, carrying it around and writing down everything she eats and drinks for a week. It's easy to 'forget' the odd coffee etc
- write down an estimate (e.g. in tbsps) of how much superfree she's having with her meals. It's all too easy to have half a plate of mash and a tbsp of carrots. If you're going to cook then maybe that's a bit easier.
- While I have no personal experience, it seems from what I've read here that men lose weight more easily than women. Perhaps it's a hormone thing??? If she really wants to make a comparison then maybe she should compare her losses with a woman of a similar age and size at your group rather than with you.

Tescos are doing the fibre plus bars and the alpen light bars as 3 for 2 - fibre plus are £1.89 per box so not saving as much as Morrisons - but if it is closer it might help!
Alpen lights are £1.69 per box
Ooooh thanks !!! there is an express one just1 min on the road here...maybe they will have them....we pass that on the way to the supermarket anyway :T:T x x0 -

This is A VERY good point ! men area set of big losers (sorry Woot...wasnt a dig there LMAO) she really shouldn't be comparing her losses to yours. Average losses of 1 to 2lb a week are considered healthy.....tho from Woots post his OH has been having little gains lately I think

mmmmm???? well it says in the SW book that gammon is free? thats very confusing.......I wonder if the ones listed in tesco are cured with added things, maybe sugars etc giving them syns (just a thought)0
