Evening, just back from trying Zumba out - liked it and had fun, for some reason not quite what I thought it would be - this was complicated for me dance moves at times. It involved jive, greek, irish and samba and latin dance! Think I'd been expecting some hip hop dance type class:rotfl:

I'd like to try a different class as I gather they are all different. Am just impressed I went as not done excercise classes for about 15 years:o

Did hang round the sports hall a bit and had a chat with the gym manager - its cardio only at the mo but free weights are on the way, only a small gym but all new and clean/air conned and £18 a month no contracts or £4 a time. Only open eves 5-10 and Sat 10-5, Sun 12-6. They also run circuits on a Tuesday so might try that but gets expensive £5 a class and £5 Slim World a week!

Foods been ok today as was organised:

    B - 2 weetabix/rice milk/raspberries

L - leftover tofu mince bolognaise/pasta with lots of vege in

    D - jacket spud/beans/soya cheese and salad

Snacks - apple/banana/grapes and a batchelors pasta mug shot type thing. Syns - agarve syrup on the rice pud I've just had! Something strange has happened I for once do not want my evening 2 cubes of dark choc:eek:

Have had a headache all day but think thats dehydration - will drink more tomorrow

Excercise - 1 hour Zumba, mile jog both ways to the class, hours walk at dinner and walk to/from train/work!

  • i 'm not looking forward to WI tomorrow :( it's star week and I'v struggled, cos it's my first week back at class (after going it along for a while, joined last week first WI in this week) I don't want to go and STS or gain, when usually people have big losses their first week...I know if I avoid it I won't stay be motivated to get back on track :\ it's a lunch time class so I could weigh and run but I know staying to class would be the best thing to do...grrr I'm so cross with myself :(
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*
No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

    :D This made me chuckle!

I think you're allowed a treat after your great weight loss, I always allow myself a treat after WI. I think I would go mad and just binge if I didn't allow myself anything a bit naughty.:rotfl:

    Did another EE day today.
    B- shape yogurt, apple satsuma
L - Phily spaghetti (b) (2), salmon, spinach and spring onins.
T - lime and corainder chicken (0.5) rice, red onions, red and green pepper. Fat free yog, mixed berries and options (2).

I realised about 10 minutes ago that I hadn't had my hea so had to force a bit of cheese down me... lets hope I sleep well tonight.

Well done to some more great loses, and those that have had bad days put it behind you, tomorrow is another day.

You can make other sauces using stock rather than milk (either "real" stock or oxo etc) or you could do mostly stock and then add some creme fraiche or similar to make it creamy.

Can you tell me if any creme fraiche is free? or would fromage frais work in dauphinois potatoes mixed with stock and garlic and HE cheese?

Morning all. can I just say........I HATE MY JOB!!!!!! If it wasnt for the fact we want to try for a baby straight after the wedding I'd be finding another job pronto!!! The maternity benefits here are too good to miss out on and I won't be coming back to work afterwards.....I just hope it doesn't take to long to happen!!!!

I'm having another green day today so if I go green tomorrow too then its an all green week!

Brekkie - rice, yogurt, half an apple, half a pear (just had this, very yummy and very filling although I did nearly burn the house down last night when cooking the rice....I put it on then forgot about it for almost an hour!!! Luckily I had it on low but the pan is still soaking!!!!

Lunch - HM veggie soup, leftover mash, leftover sauce from tea last night (1 as there's a bit of chorizo in it), jelly (0.5)

Tea - don't know, going to OH's parents, I made a point about reminding his mum I'm dieting whne we arranged it and she's out this afternoon so I suggested she could do something in the slow cooker as if she does it'll be a veggie and chicken (HEB) stew (minus the yummy dumplings for me!!!)

I'll be using 1HEA for milk in tea so that leaves me with 1A and 1B, I might do a bit of cheese on toast for supper after OH goes to work. SYns will be a few for whatever oil his mum uses to cook the tea!

hehe well it was destined to end up there eventually - it's not a fridge decoration!!

Re. white sauce for lasagne, i tend to use extra low fat soft cheese melted down in a pan with a splash of milk. It's synned but not too highly

Here is my EE day today, after yesterday's incident with the fairies and the xmas cookes.... :o

Brekkie - pot of tea with 125ml semi skim milk (1/2 HEA allowance)
    1 slice wholemeal toast(HEB)
1 tsp flora light (1 syn)
2 eggs, scrambled and cooked with frylight (free)
    baken beans (free)
    mushrooms (superfree)

Snack - a clementine and an apple (superfree)

Lunch - pasta (free) with tuna (free)
2 tbsp extra light mayo (1 syn)
    sweetcorn (free)
onions, cucumber, toms and salad leaves (superfree)

Snack - homemade leek and potato soup (free/superfree)

Dinner - red peppers stuffed with spicy rice and veg (superfree)
21g low fat cheddar cheese (1/2 HEA) on top
turkey pieces cooked in a tomato sauce (free/superfree)
1 spray of olive oil for cooking (1-2 syns)

    total syns = 4

tonight I am going to spray my oil spray into a tub and work out exactly how much comes out with each spray. I think it's 1 tsp.

you are forgiven my child :rotfl::rotfl:

    (
Well my day was almost royally scuppered - its been at least 2 weeks since I had a moan about my well intentioned mum, surely its time for another one?! Despite having cartloads of revision to do, mother and father dearest have decided I have the time to visit distant relatives whom I don't even know, who have apparently been asking to meet me for ages. They tell me this last week, when earlier on in my stay with them was the time when I was unable to study much. I mutter about not having much time for it and not wanting to have a meal at theirs, because it wouldn't be very SW. They reassure me its only for a couple of hours, and at worst I might get offered a slice of cake and a cup of tea.

We spent 4 hours there. Biscuits got offered around, and I politely declined, explaining politely and firmly about having to watch my food intake because of the leg, which was accepted. Then, THEN, guess what?! They had made an afternoon tea type of thing - with HM mince pies, ham sandwiches on white, and an enormous HM victoria sponge cake!

I mentally did the maths and worked out a 1/4 sandwich and a mince pie would be about the minimum I could get away with having without causing great offence, and had to bat off offers (Aw gowan gowan gowan gown!) of more sandwiches from both the hostess and my own mother and father! Then the flipping cake was cut and EVERYBODY gangs up on me to get me to have a piece! Especially my mum, who KNOWS how I feel about trying to stay on plan at the moment :( She suggested I have a piece to take home - think she thought I was offending the host (who I don't think was offended, it wasn't like I refused anything and I had damn well set out my reasons for not wanting to eat much beforehand) - so I have come home with a piece of cake which TBH I'm sure is nice but isn't my choice of what I'd spend my syns on - so I shall be telling mother or father dearest to have it for me.

Then we come home and because its late for our evening meal, and sandwiches/cheese & biscuits/ generrally un SW but quick things are suggested! although thank goodness I had a brainwave and managed to snaffle a micro-zapped jacket spud :A which was promptly served by mum with 6 syns worth of cashew nuts in the salad - she could have asked if I wanted, or had the healthy extras left for them! I give up!!!

And I had been soooo looking forward to the fudge as my syns tonight :wall:

So today's scores on the board:

    GREEN

    Alpen bar (1/2 b)
    fritata & HM soup
    milk in t&c (a)
1/4 ham sandwich (I know this is cheating but after the day I've had I'm counting 1/2 of the syns as the other half of my healthy b choice, so 2 syns)
Mince pie (11 syns!) It was nice, but not that nice!
Jacket spud with tuna (b), philly (a), salad (cashew nuts left on side of plate in silent protest)
mullerlight & 2 small chunks of fudge - when I looked and compared it to the description of the size in the book, I think both count as the size of 1, 1 inch cube, so 2.5 for both.

So with the juggling of the 2nd half of the healthy b it looks like 15.5 syns - I guess it could have been a lot worse.

After all that stressing, I'm worn out! 4 days til I'm back home. 6 days til i'm not relying on meals with my family. I might just manage a bit more time spent ON the plan, then! :rotfl:

Mums!! :o.......dont ya just love em smiley-laughing007.gif
