2 syns per muffin - my daughters made them a couple of months ago (got the pack from Home Bargains) - quite nice actuallyMorning all
I feel like giving up! Had lost 15lb now 7lb back on. Just cant seem to get into it. Defin. comfort eating at the moment. So could do with a wee bit of inspiration. I am a member of a club. Need a good kick up the behind really.
Consider your behind kicked!!Don't give up, that's the worst thing you could do. Just try to focus, make sure you have SW-friendly food in & meal-plan, batch-cook etc. Keep posting on here & we will keep you on the straight & narrow
Morning everyone :hello:
Weigh-in for me & I've lost 2lbs :j Just another 4lbs to get back to my pre-Christmas pig-out weightWhy does it take longer to take off than it does to put on
Having a green day *quelle surprise*
B - 2 chocolate weetabix (HEB + 2), banana, rasps, milk (half HEA)
L - dynorod *parp*, 2 scanbran (2) with 3 ex-light cheese triangles (half HEA) & tomato
D - 2 quorn sausages, pasta & HM sauce, pitta (HEB2)
I'm actually looking forward to my dynorod today!! Yesterday I blended it (better already) & then sprinkled some ground cumin on before heating it up - it was lush so doing the same again today.
Have a good day peeps :wave:0 -
Woohoo, well done flutterby!! :j
Ps. I'm the same with night-time toilet visits - definitely SW to blame - it has settled down now though, thank goodness!!0 -

Me too and I never get up in the night for a wee usually... and they are big wee's too (sorry TMI :rotfl:)
In theory it should settle down once our body is used to the extra fluids we are taking on board with the water we are drinking and boat load of fruit and veg."People buy things they don't need, with money they don't have, to impress people they don't like" - Clive Hamilton on Consumerism.0 -

BettyB - what are the samosa's? can you share the recipe please?
x
The recipe is in the latest mag - samosas and chutney, but i didn't do the chutney.
It is simple enough - you just cook potato and peas (and I added some carrot from more SF veg!), mash and mix with a bit of curry powder to your liking (the recipe also called for mango paste but i didnt have any of that but they were nice enough without it.)
Then cut shop bought filo pastry into strips and fold a tsp of the potato mix into the corner of one strip, folding again and again into little triangles.
They were nice but a bit dry, will use a couple of syns for a spritz of proper oil next time rather than frylight.
Made loads tho! the recipe said makes 18 i think i made about 24!!! Have got loads in the freezer now :money:
Had a good weekend - stayed within my syns limit and meal plans (3 syns on sat, 20 on sun) to give me a weekly total of 80 which I am pleased enough with.
EE today:
Brekkie:
Tea with 1/2 HEA milk
weetabix with 1/2 HEA milk and 1 level tsp sugar (1 syn)
Apple and grapes
lunch:
homemade leek and potato soup
snack:
carrot sticks
dinner:
red peppers stuffed with rice, mushroom, courgette and spices (inspired by the recipe in the latest mag but not quite the same!)
with turkey pieces in a spicy tomato sauce
(all free/superfree!)
spritz of olive oil (1 syn)
dessert:
shape delight (5.5 syns)
total = 7.5 synsBetty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

Morning all!
Had a good weekend - drinking g&t is much better than wine for SW purposes! I had an entire evening out on Friday any nobody noticed anything unusual (I hate being questioned about why I'm eating / drinking funny at the moment).
Today's food plan is:
B - fruit, ff yog, oats (HEB)
L - chicken pasta salad with feta (HEA)
D - cous cous and roasted veg
Snacks - apples, banana, mullerlight
Also going for a run tonight - I really hope it stops raining first!:A If saving money is wrong, I don't want to be right. William Shatner

Morning all,
Congrats on the losses Flutterby and Sweet.. :j
Well the next few weeks are going to be Extra Easy's for me as OH is at home cooking and he doesn't understand the concept of not mixing protein and carbs so my main meals will all be a mixture i think - will miss my two HEA's and B's i think:(
B - 4 ryvita (HEB) 2 laughing cow lights & milk in tea(HEA) satsuma
L - Spaghetti hoops, satsuma
T - chicken skewers - chicken, pepper and onion - sweet potato wedges and salad
S - crisps (4.0) satsuma, diet coke
I'm a bit stuffed today for variety as we didn't get to the supermarket this weekend. hopefully the rest of the week will have different fruit!!
Quick question - spaghetti hoops (big tin) is classed as 2 of your 5 a day, presumably because of the tomato sauce - could you class this as your 1/3 super free?

Morning All
EE day for me..... not sure what Im eating yet for lunch & tea as Im running bit late for the dreaded physio
I shall post my menu when I get back later.
Be good everyone0 -
I tried a really nice root-veg gratin at a friends house the other day and I'd like to make it more SW friendly. The recipe got 300ml milk and 250ml cream in it.
Any idea what I can replace it with since the vegetable will boil in the fluid?0
