Forgot to mention, I managed to convert one of my friends I saw yesterday to join SW, she was impressed with how much weight I had lost (almost 2 stone since I saw her last) even though I was not setting a good example :o

But it's nice to get your weight loss noticed and motivate others, it made my day.:D

    Hi All

I would like to join your very friendly group.

I am intending to start at slimming world tomorrow evening. Not done it before but really need to think about losing weight, not only for looks but for health reasons. I guess I have about 3 stone to lose:eek:
I have had a browse through a friends book (she joined last week) and it looks fairly straight forward I think:o
So here's looking forward to a new me:D

PS I have two friends coming over for dinner on Wed, can anyone recommend a good meal I could cook? They are not trying to lose weight or anything but thought I may be able to make something which we could all enjoy... plus pud.

    Thanks in advance.
I USED TO BE INDECISIVE BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE!

  • Ooooh, go, go go!! I seriously recommend hypnotherapy even if you don't have anything theraputic to gain for it, because it is the single MOST relaxing therapy I have ever had - reiki, hot stone massages, you name it they're all nice but nothing has ever beaten hypnotherapy for how relaxed I was at the end. :T

I went........turns out that I need to have a consultation first then she can write a 'script' to use during the actual hypnotherapy. She asked me lots of questions bout my eating habits etc! She seemed like a lovely woman, she explained how it all works and I felt comfortable with her so I'm going back a week tomorrow for the actual hypnotherapy bit. Figured might as well give it a go! And it's free :) she needs 'guinnea pigs' for her qualification. My friend had her session there and then as she wanted a past life regression, she said it was good and didn't seem weird.

Hope everyone is well, this thread is sooooo busy atm I really can't keep up.

I made chicken cacciatore yesterday, it was lovely...the kids just didn't like the cherry tomatoes in it.

You can definitely get Scan Bran at Waitrose, i bought some last week. It is dreadful stuff:rotfl: I thought i would like it as i can happily eat dry ryvita and can munch through a bowl of dry all bran no problem. But no, scan bran defeated me:o

Your kitten is SUPER cute. My 7 month old monster is having a mad moment chasing his tail! He is called Newton, i'm a maths geek - if i got another he would be Hamilton (hamiltonian mechanics etc) or Gauss. I think Bertie is a nice name.

I say Jeeves. He looks like a little butler hehe. I love cats. I bought my two the bestest present ever today....a cardboard box. I should have got 2 as they're fighting over it.

Lunch today was a small roast dinner so we're going with EE.

    Updated plan = EE

    Lunch
Roast Pork - 5 syns for gravy and roasts. They were pretty dry roasts so not too greasy and it wasn't a huge plate.
1/2 slice very light choc cake - 4 syns*

    Dinner
Haddock with lemon chive butter sauce - 4syns
Jacket potato (using butter from fish)
    Carrots
    Broccoli
    Mushrooms

*apparently it's 5.5 syns per slice of generic choc cake but that seems too low. It was home made, very light and I only had half (the non iced half) so I've said 4. What do you think?

Total 13 syns and no HEA or B. Might grate a little of the nice cheddar I bought from the farm shop on the potato for dinner and squeeze in a weetabix oatybar if I'm still hungry.
