afternoon all..I have been reading and lurking for a couple of weeks, joined a class last tue so first WI will be tue lunch time. A bit nervous as it's star week and I had a major blow out on Thursday night, and I don't mean one too many choccie bics I mean MAJOR binge
. have been back on track since but still nervous, will be so ashamed if I go to back to class and in my first week Ive gained or STS
That aside I've been enjoying SW again, still can't get my head around EE I feel like I'm eating too muh when I try it, I was bought up on green and original days, I struggled to get my head around Mix2Max when they introduced that and still not sure what success express is!
OH is a the footie match this afternoon so I'm going to get in the kitchen, thinking I'll make some soup, some SW quiche, some quorn bolog (which can be portioned up and frozen for some quick lunches/dinners)
oh and I've got blueberries coming out of my ears, I bought a couple of packs in tescos reduced to 75p each but because they are on offer full price it took £3.97 off my shopping, so I ran back and bought a couple more and it took another £3.97 off (that makes 4 punnets). On the off chance I popped back and they still had some there so I bought some more shopping and another 6 punnets and because I put them through all at once this time it only took £7.98 off...but anyway I've now got 10 punnets to get through!! Good job I like them! Am thinking I might freeze some to stir into yogurt or mix into porridge...can't think what else to do with them, and not sure they'll last much more than another 2 or 3 days at fresh because they were already on their last day...any ideas?
Anyway so far today I had a late brunch with 3 quorn sausages, 3 eggs scrambled, chopped toms and mushrooms cooked in fry light (all free), semi skimmed milk for tea (HeA) and some blueberries, 28g oats (HeB) and fat free yogurt as a snack when I got in from shopping.
Am cooking a shepperd pie with a mashed celeriac topping, and also making a veggie curry to go with tandorri chicken, one for tonight one for tomorrow.
Still need 1 Hea and 1 Heb, will get thinking*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!NSD Jan 2/150 -
HI everyone, well done to all thoses lovely losers and chin up to those finding a bit tougher. Ah well almost at the end of my first full week of 'going it alone' on plan. Feeling pretty pleased with myself overall have managed to stay chocolate free (one of my main goals for the week) stuck to roughly 5 syns a day as we were out for a meal on Friday (Wedding anniversary) stuck to diet coke for drinks at meal but did indulge in a syn laden pud I have not the slightest clue as to the syns in that and, frankly, don't care, it was a treat. I'm gonna weigh myself in the morning and will report in when I have. XX
Minxz, your story sounds very similar to mine. I was going great guns, had a consultant that was fab and came within 1lb of target (almost 5st loss) ...............,then things went awry, change of consultant and other things that got in the way etc. I got a bit too 'relaxed' about this losing weight lark, decided I could do it without group etc.............and here I am nearly 2st heavier. Feeling fat, fed up and a failure !!!
I have restarted my 'go it alone' plan from Monday and just making that solid decision made me feel happier about myself. I found taking one day at a time helps and with each successful day on plan your confidence will grow. A wobbly day every so often is to be expected, we're all human and you need to put those behind you and not dwell on them too much.
The people on here are tremendously supportive and really do speak from experience and I can't praise them enough. Good luck with everything. XXXWhen Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -
Awww shucks you guys, thanks for all the birthday wishes - there's loads!flutterbyuk25 wrote: »Ps:
Today I have the chance of going to a friend of friend for free weight loss hypnotherapy. I'm in 2 minds about whether to go for it or not! I'll let you know what I do later
x
Ooooh, go, go go!! I seriously recommend hypnotherapy even if you don't have anything theraputic to gain for it, because it is the single MOST relaxing therapy I have ever had - reiki, hot stone massages, you name it they're all nice but nothing has ever beaten hypnotherapy for how relaxed I was at the end. :TTakeItEazy wrote: »Yes [according to the article] all signs have moved back one, so I'm now pisces instead of aries, hubby is now gemini instead of cancer and son is saggitarius instead of capricorn. Aparently theres a big debate going on via the web so how true all this is I don't know. If you google it theres loads of articles about it. It just caught my eye thats all.
Eh? Beggar that, I'm not changing my birthsign on my birthday, I like being a capricorn! :rotfl:I'm a Leo too and would like to stay that way thank you! It was an article in the Daily Mail last week and I don't think it will take over!
I'm in the sts category this week - I know why as I have been struggling a bit on the food front - just need to give myself a talking too!
Happy Birthday Skintslimmer - have a good one! How are you doing mobility wise?
Ah well if its the Daily Fail I won't panic too much yetHave fun with your kitten and take lots of pics, cos they grow up very quickly (at least in size. Ours took 14 years to grow out of playing
) Mobility wise quite good I think thanks, I'm proud of my crutch callouses, and can hop up and down single steps - still think I'll need to be doing proper stairs on my bum for the foreseable future though
Haven't had a chance to practice that for ages.
Been for a lovely lunch, wasn't too unhealthy, although definately not on SW plan, with pitta and olives, houmous, tzaski etc. Then we looked around the gift shop and somehow between mum and I we picked out 4 different flavoured slabs of fudge ~ for a bargainous £7 :o:o Forgive me Martin (and Margaret Miles-Bramwell) for I have Synned and Synned good! :rotfl: Had planned to get just enough to have some between the 3 of us tonight, but Mum also decided there was another flavour she liked, and then they said it was buy 3 slabs get 1 free  :rotfl: I shall get mum to hide it and portion it out for the remaining days' worth :A Honest.

I can't believe i only just found out mug shots and batcholers pasta and sauce are free! Serves me right for not reading all the leaflets lol. But it gives me more food options so its a good thing. Feeling much more positive this week, and i'm drinking as much green tea as is possible to give my weight loss a boost! I'm determined to have a loss on ThursdayThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

You can buy them in your class (although not all consultants stock them because they aren't very popular). I did hear that my local health food shop also stocked them, but since they're a slimming world brand thing I have no idea if this is true or not.Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -

Afternoon all, well done to some more great loses
I've really let my hair down since my loss on Thursday, I met some old friends for lunch yesterday and we ended up at an all you can eat buffet.
I tried to be good, but I hadn't seen my friends for nearly 2 years so I must admit SW went on the back seat.
Have been on plan today, and my meal plan is EE
B- h&n shredded wheat (b) and milk (a), satsumas
L- Phily spaghetti (4) with spinach, spring onions and salmon, plum
T will be roast gammon, but after yesterday and avoiding my mum's roasties and will be sticking to leeks peas and parsley sauce (2) puding will be mixed fruit and fat free yog with an Options (2)
That makes 8 syns which is plenty for me, will try and keep the rest of the week under 10 snys to make up for yesterday.
We had a lady at WI on Thursday who weighed in after her first week and she lost 10lbs, I would say she is in the 20 stone region but she was obviously over the moon.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend and is managing to stay on track.Currently takling Barclaycard - £67/£350Debt free date October 2014:jDoing it for my girlies!!:j38lbs lost in 2011SW for May 8lb/7lb0 -
