Evening all,
I feel like I've eaten for England today. I've felt peckish all day, but think the reality is that I've been craving something sweet. I hope it's not a sign that I'm getting a cold, which can often be the case. I've done really well to avoid all the bugs the rest of the family have had this winter.
Food today has been : EE
B - 2 chicken drumsticks, apricot (another weird, late lunch to just tide me over till lunchtime)
L - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans
D - left over bolognese (packed with superfree veg... that has the effects of dyno-rod soup! :eek:_pale_), pasta, sprinkle of l/f cheese (2 syns)
Snacks : Fibre Plus bar [HeB], banana, various spoonfuls of cold left over bolognese out of the fridge!
Milk - [HeA]
I've done very little today though, as I'm still recovering from my gym session with Beelzibub yesterday. The backs of my legs feel like they're tight elastic bands, and I thought my old caesarean scar was going to burst when he got me doing leg raises and sit-ups yesterday. I wasn't aware I had lower ab muscles, but they are screaming to be heard at the mo..... and what does the BF say while I'm grunting and groaning my way through the exercises? 'No pain, no gain!' He's heading the right way for a dry slap if he keeps that up... if only I could catch him, but with my dodgy legs and painful stomach, I'll have to wait until I can thump him.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Evening everyone!
I am wanting to join SW after making a new years resolution to finally get fit and healthy! Have tried weight watchers but struggled to stick to the points as I always seemed hungry and had the shakes quite a lot.
I've looked at the SW website and as I can't wait, have found a meeting on Monday eve! However, as I'm impatient I want to find out all about it NOW!! Hehe!
How does it work?!
I find it strange to read that you can seem to eat loads, and whenever you want?! The sample menu's look too good to be true, No calorie counting and no tracking points...how can this help me lose weight if I'm eating a big cooked breakfast? Is it easy to stick to and has anyone found they still get hungry or have a rollercoaster blood sugar level?
I'm feeling so motivated to do it this time, and can't wait for my meeting...I just wondered if anyone would mind giving me some advice or info before then!
Thank you so much!

Welcome - if you read the very first post of this thread you will fnd the 'rules'. You do still have to weigh & measure some items but not all.
Remember the 'plate' on a poster in the Home Ec room at school? The large portion is fruit & veg, smaller portion is meats, smaller still is breads & cereals & the smallest portion is refined sugars like sugar & alcohol? Well this is how SW works.

lol,you gotta love the squaddies!
I love mine too...
Lil-Me, thats such a shame about the boot camp thingy
I have to say that I love the gym on camp... at first I was dreading everyone looking at the "large marge" in the corner-but ecky thump -some of them made me look slender :j... I think I feel at home because its generally loads of folks in army issue PT kit (very fetching -NOT :rotfl:) and theres no mirrors and shiney chrome about :T oh and best of all -its free
I have really got used to being in there -Im hoping to get back to it this week and Im even going to have a little go at jogging as well as walking on the tread mill  -even if I will sound like a hippo in clogs :rotfl:..
Well after my long walk this morning I still made sure I did my 20mins on the "biggest loser" -and this one was slightly less *huff n puff*
After that -all I have done today is do my meal plan for the week and as Im giving EE a whirl I have planned every meal and snack so I know what Im doing (in theory). SO my 1st plan of action in the morning (after weighing in) is to get a big ole vat of my version of 12 speed soup made to cover my lunches all week-hubby is most disturbed at the prospect :rotfl:...
Anyway -i hope everyone is having a good weekend..... night night

Hi Gill on the 1st page of this thread is the information on HOW sw works, as to DOES it work the answer is a resounding YES [if you stick to it 100%]. I am at target after losing over 2st but our resident superstar loser MrsM has lost a magnificent amount 7st 3lb without being hungry at all [think I'm right in saying that]. If I feel hungry I have more fruit/free foods and away we go.
Feel free to ask anything you like on here, we are a very supportive bunch and in my opinion better than the group I used to go to :rotfl:. So welcome to the forum, pull up a chair and join in the fun :j.Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Thank you both Skint_Catt and TakeItEazy... I guess that home ec poster does ring some bells now and makes sense! I'm so used to hearing 'you have to cut out ALL bad foods, eat lettuce and go to the gym 24/7' that it's refreshing to have a sensible solution!
I'm quite excited to find out the A and B foods, plus the free foods now!
I see lots of people are talking about the 'extra easy' plan, as well as green and original...is there an option to pick which plan you do or is it group majority/leader specific?
And last question (promise!) do you recieve a booklet with all syn amounts listed or is it available online somewhere?
Hoping to be in here regularly now, seat well taken! Thanks guys!

If you are going to class you will be given a password for the SW online site where you can find syns. If you are not going there is another forum which has almost every syn you will look for http://www.minimins.com/syn-values/ .
All the best, it really does work, I did it last year in preperation for stopping smoking, have the cigs under control now, but ate like some kind of monster for 3 months before starting up again last week. So really SW gave me the confidence to stop smoking as I knew when the time was right I would just start the plan again.Love your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -

Looking forward to the full roast chicken experience tomorrow - although our crap oven means we may not get roasties
I had the SW curry tonight too. I've done the lamb and this one was the same recipe with beef. You're right it makes a generous amount so I've frozen some and tonight was the last portion from the freezer. Got all the ingredients ready to do the chicken curry in the current mag. I love to have curry in the freezer for Saturday nights, certainly beats the take aways we used to have! We have ours with Batchelors pilau rice (F) and SW chips because we're greedy:o
We're having roast chicken tomorrow too. Roast is excellent 'cos it's so easy to have loads of superfrees with it. I've got my syns ready for gravy and it'll be a 'rubber chicken' because all left-overs going in the curry for freezer and for stir-fry on Monday. Oh and any LO veg ends up in my lunchtime soup during the week. Well this is a MSE forum isn't it:D?0 -
