  • Hi all

Debating with myself what im going to make for dinner - think it will probably be some veg soup i made yesterday and add in some noodles to bulk it up.

Had a bad day yesterday, felt very stressed and ended up eating 6 slices of toast, on other diets this would be the beginning of the end for me - however im not really that bothered by it - have moved on already:D.

  • ps I'm having a fish pedicure and a haircut today - do you think I'll lose some weight as a result of it!!! :rotfl:

 I had 2 1/2 inches cut off my hair today, maybe that'll make up for my disasterous idea of snacking yesterday! :rotfl: I'll await your fishy update with intriegue, since I love the feel of fish if I put my hands in their tank (I know - weirdo!) so I bet I'd love that treatment. I just hope they are treated well at the salons - well, you know what I mean, kept in a nice happy-fish tank when not in use, not in those plastic see through containerey thingies and only fed on feet!

Hi consultant31. thank you very much for your post and also to the other poster. very wise words indeed!! I shall be slinking back to group with my tail between my legs next week as without the motivation of my weekly weigh in on the sw scales, I feel kind of lost. :(

Out of interest consultant31, can I still have mix to match days ? so a neutral breakfast, a green lunch and a red tea ?

I'm other other poster, and I'm glad you're still going to class :T

I'm sure you could do M2M days, after all its like the discontinuation of corned beef and tins of macaroni cheese, people could carry on following the old style way and still lose weight (provided they didn't try to mix the rules of the old with the new), it was never going to magically stop working just because SW changed the rules. :).

Pass me that glue Dizzy, better make it a super strong one, because my bottom is going to be on the waggon for today, at least. :o tomorrow's my birthday, so no promises there! :p We're "doing" lunch out, then roast dinner in the evening (so actually, could turn out okay as roast is SW friendly)

I had a lovely, if unorthodox breakfast, when I zapped some onion and potato in the microwave, and stirred it in to a tin of spaghetti hoops along with some cubes of cheese (a). Not everyone's cup of tea, but it hit the spot for me :p

Lunch was a HM savoury rice with brown rice, stock, lentils, onion, peppers and sweetcorn thrown in. It was yummy, but I hadn't cooked it for long enough (got bored waiting for the brown rice :rotfl:)

Dinner is a dish I am having quite often at the mo. Its called god-knows-what-someone-else-is-cooking. :rotfl:

Hubby is off to cook the Lamb Dansak from the most recent magazine - free on EE - YUM! It's strange how I've got so into EE this time - when it first came out I just couldn't do it properly no matter how hard I tried - now other than one or two of my fave green days a week I do all EE.

Did anyone have a syn value for the Kingsmill 50/50? This thread moves so fast I can't find where I asked now so I apologise for asking again! :o

I had a haircut today too - from a shoulder length bob to a jaw length one - I know I'm adventurous aren't I? :rotfl: OH and I spotted a fish pedicure 'shop' the other day while shopping in Worcestershire - looks weird - one woman was having her hands done. I've got very ticklish feet too so not sure how I'd react other than histerical laughter!

    C xx

I was very lazy this morning so had brunch of 3 Quorn sausages + 1 pear

Hi skintslimmer, also having one of these tonight (god-knows-what-someone-else-is-cooking)

Luckily our friends serve the food to the table in individual bowls, (if you know what I mean) so I can take a bit of each. ;)

Just got back from Asda, thought I'd share some of the bargains on special offer I got (not whoopsied)

    Branston Beans x4 1.00 (normally 2.20)
    Laughing Cow light (8) .50 (normally .98)
    Quorn sausages (chilled) (6) 1.00 (normally 2.10)

Enjoy your evening will pop in tomorrow.

I know we have extra easy but I really struggle to get enough superfree on my plate and trying to manage with just one B option and one A option near on impossible ! Mix to match used to work really well for me - a jacket spud with salad and cheese at the pub for lunch and a steak and veg for tea plus the benefit of my 2he options and 2heb options. :j

I see no reason why not to be honest. Mix2Max was more or less the same as EE but without the push on veg. However, because lots of people tended to go overboard having (for example) a huge steak with chips etc (cutting out the veg completely) on M2M, I'm sure EE is healthier with all the superfree foods added. If it worked for you before, it should work now - just watch the scales carefully and adjust if necessary.

Ah SS, sorry I didn't give you credit there, I remembered what was said, just not who said it :rotfl:

BUT, I'm going to take issue with you on the corned beef/macaroni cheese front ;) In many cases the recipes for these foods were changed and it was this that made SW take them off the lists of 'free' or 'acceptable' foods. Also, there has been a general move away from processed foods to fresher ingredients cooked from scratch - which is a good thing MSE-wise as well as SW-wise I think.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Smoked mackerel is 5 syns per 28gms on a Green day, so it depends how much you ate.

Just as a point of interest, there is no superfree fruit or veg in your day at all. I know it doesn't show that you must have some on Green, but it is sensible to have at the very least, your 5 a day. It really will help your weight loss :)

Thanks for your help consultant - you are a gem

Not eaten it yet so might just junk that one and look for something else.

Sorry for not listing the fruit - 2 satsumas one banana. I do have a bowl of fruit salad for after supper as well. Satsuma/melon/grapes and kiwi.

veggies in both breakfast and lunch.

Slinks off to fridge to hunt for something for supper now *rolls eyes*

I made the Spaghetti Carbonara today and it was amazing, a real find.

I made mine with shallotts, bacon, mushrooms and laods of spinach, for the sauce i used 28g sweet chilli Philly light, quark and one egg, mixed that with the hot pasta and then added the sauted bacon and veg. I was really tempted to add a bit of cheese on the top but I'm REALLY glad I didn't as it was lovely and creamy and totally didn't need the cheese :D a really great find and becasue of all the it meets the EE rules too.
