I've had a nightmare of a day but the halo is still in place!! Went shopping with Mum and we didn't end up going for lunch till nearly 3 and by then everyone had stopped serving anything other than sandwiches or cakes!!! BUT we ended up coming back to my house and I did us a nice healthy lunch. We're going out for a chinese and a few drinks tonight. I'll be sticking to vodka and slimline tonic to keep the syns down!!! I've only had 11 syns so far since Thurs morning so I should be ok for a few drinks. I'll stick to 5 syns a day for the rest of the week to make sure of a loss!!
Today is a green day:
Brekkie: banana
Snack: pineapple, yogurt
Lunch: baked potato, tuna (HEB), salad, salad cream (2)
Tea: chinese. will have chicken something to use other HEB and will also have either plain rice or noodles.
HEA is milk in teas.0 -
Just a suggestion that might work for some.
I have bought a silicon "muffin tray" (this ones but I am sure you can get them cheaper Lakeland ) and use it to bake the SW quiche in and they turn out of the tray fine without sticking.
I also have taken some of the to work for lunch as you can eat them in your fingers. I found that making a big one it fell to bits when I turned it out the dish and then it was hard to eat.
I found that 3 largeish eggs and a generous amount of cottage cheese (plus super free's) was enough for one tray.0 -
Evening all
Logged on this morning and went OH NOOOOOOOOOOOO, hubby [really concerned] whats the matter? Me - the forums down, what am I gonna do now. Hubby - Oh is that all !!!!!! :rotfl:
Completely forgot it was gonna be down today, good job I went out I woulda been having withdrawal symptoms.
Had a bit of a chocolate finger binge this evening plus a 'few' toffees but as syns been lowish all week I am well within weekly syns so should be ok.
B - weetabix milk [a] coffee
L - nowt as was out
T - left over goulash/rice 'fried' off in pan to ensure well heated, had a few mouthful and persevered as much as I could but to be honest it was disgusting so threw it away. Having pineapple, melon, onken & meringue instead.
Snacks - choc fingers, toffees, pear
Syns - too many, good job I don't count them weekends :rotfl:
Anyone see that article about the signs of the zodiac changes due to the earths movement? I'm apparently now pisces instead of aries, I like being aries . There were originally 13 signs of the zodiac and they are reintroduciing the one they dropped.
Taken from the Greek word for 'serpent-bearer', the sign is portrayed by a man grasping the snake that is represented by the constellation Serpens. Ophiuchus was one of the 48 constellations proposed by Ptolemy in the second century. It was earlier known as Serpentarius, a Latin word for serpent-bearer.
The new sign will cover those born between Nov. 29 and Dec. 17 while Sagittarius will move into the 13 th position covering from Dec. 17 to Jan. 20. Some traits of those born in the sign of Ophiuchus are said to be honest, intellectual, sexually magnetic, prone to change and of course, jealous.

I decided to have a flexi day today well flexi lunch as had been invited to friends for lunch, friend runs a veggie/vegan cookery school and is such a fab cook.
I declined coffee and pastries on arrival, friend knows me and another friend are on SW so had made a Morrocan lunch - delicious!
Had cous cous with great herbs and veggies in oil freel so free, also salads and a chick pea tagine, plus a tofu dish and a tempeh dish those were with oil so had less, all so tasty. Pudding was to tempting to avoid vegan tirimisu and cheesecake so had a small portion of each.
Drank lost of water and will have syn free foods tonight - maybe some pasta or soup not sure yet.
Decided when I got home to start my excercise regime - so got the new running shoes on and went out for half an hour, boy am I unfit could only do intervals of 1 min run then 3 min power walk, glad it was dark! Feel ok now - no idea if I can/will get into this excercise idea or not!
Really enjoyed all the food flavours today and have to say those puds were divine - could of had 2nds but as I'm in control of my eating now I did not, but enjoyed what I had as a nice flexi meal treat, back on plan now:)Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Hello everyone...I see there are lots of new faces:)
I have been doing really well lately and have been trying a few new recipes, mixed in with our usual types of meals. I lost 2.5 last week, I am due to weigh in on Monday, so fingers crossed for another decent loss. I have got a family party to attend at the end of the month so I would love to lose a few more lb by then.
Keep up the good work guys.

In many cases the recipes for these foods were changed and it was this that made SW take them off the lists of 'free' or 'acceptable' foods. Also, there has been a general move away from processed foods to fresher ingredients cooked from scratch - which is a good thing MSE-wise as well as SW-wise I think.
I agree it was probably due to the move away from processed food and away from fat (anyone remember SW when burgers were free?) Hmmm and corned beef always had quite a bit of fat in it. Corned beef and macaroni suddenly having syns happened at the time of a change in food plans (I think it was where you were allowed an extra optional A choice) so quite a few in our group stuck to the old plans and still had their macaroni cheese and corned beef without counting them as syns (and still lost weight). But then, maybe that wasn't such an exemplary group: when we had SW parties quite a lot of them would bring things like full fat cakes ("Whaat? Its a party, we deserve it" they said ) and, my favourite SW anecdote ever, a prawn ring, with not only full fat marie rose sauce but the prawns were covered in pastry and deep fried. When questioned about it, the person who brought it to class was most indignant; "Well? WELL?? The prawns are free food aren't they??" :rotfl:
Still, I got to target at that class and miss the consultant and her barmy army of ladies therebecause I was a student they'd constantly be sending me home with the SOTW fruit, claiming I needed it more than them
Scousers, got to love them!

Hi consultant
Glad you are here. Is the SW website down. It won't allow me to log on it says on the screen that I haven't been here for a while etc etc. I tried re entering my card and pin and it says details already registered (I know that ) !!!!!
Could you or somebody check this out for me
HI Jill. Truly sorry, I'm afraid I can't help with this at all - despite the board name, I'm no longer a Consultant as I retired last May.
Why not phone or text your Consultant and ask, otherwise I'm sure someone here who uses the website will be able to help youI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
SkintSlimmer, if you like corned beef and don't want to spend the extra dosh on the extra lean kind, one of my members used to take it from the tin on a carving fork and pour a kettleful of boiling water over it. She said all the white fatty stuff would just melt away and she then counted it as extra lean, which is about half the syns.
Love the party food :rotfl:We had a member who brought the most gorgeous trifle to every bash.........unfortunately it had about 3 inches of thick whipped cream on top  On the plus side, almost everybody had a bit so it had to be shared out a long way :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Thanks Consultant, haven't had it for AAAggges but I did like it for a good corned beef hash, so may try that trick.
I was more upset about the tins of macaroni cheese attracting syns. I loved using them in syn-free lasagne *sob*Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0
