Weeowens - (((hugs))), hope you're ignoring them.

Personally I like FB and Twitter comps but I understand that they can be annoying if you don't do FB or Twitter, or just don't want to comp that way. I have a seperate comping FB account now which makes things a lot easier all round.

White flags out here :rotfl: I don't want to start an arguement this is a genuine question that I would really appreciate a proper answer to so I can understand the logic and make a more rounded decision next time I post something similar.

Forget the debate of if it is/isn't a monthly and if it should be on regs or main because we'll just go round in circles again and I'm resigned to the fact we'll disagree on this for now

The bit I would like explained to me is the bit that basically says that if it has a new url/prize/answer each month then each new url/prize should mean a new thread because it's then a new comp. I really don't understand how the thread in question (here) is any different to ones like THIS ONE and THIS ONE and THIS ONE and THIS ONE which are/were posted as one thread with new urls, prize details & answers as and when needed with no complaints?

I'm hoping someone can help me out here and tell me why the one I posted should be different posts each month when the four examples (there's plenty of others) shouldn't be. Please? and thank you!

There's still quite a lot that don't add U16's or U18's to their posts too, which is the one I find annoying :mad: everyone has a comping niggle it seems :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi Beth,

I think it's a case of not everything fits into a set catergory and then it's pretty much down to your personal judgement, It's going to be impossible to catergorize every comp and site.

Maybe run it past a boardguide before you post and ask them where they think it should be xxxxxxx

I agree with you, that it's just personal judgement. But I was being criticised/questioned on multiple points so wanted it explained to me if I'd missed something obvious.

If it is just personal judgement it would be really nice if people could just bite their tongue if they disagree with a posts location rather than criticising, and maybe post a linking thread on main if there isn't one and they feel it's being missed because it's on regulars?

It stresses me out when people criticise me for trying to help. I don't moan at people if I disagree about how/where they have posted and it would REALLY appreciate the same courtesy in return

If it was me posting something I was unsure of, i'd put a foot note in the post stating posted in blah blah after checking with bg.

Then if anyone has an issue they can take it up with a bg xxx
