To access the picture puzzlers
hjb123/ &
One-Eye

kindly does for us,

* Log in, click on 'Puzzles' in the blue bar ..
click on & a drop down list will show the online puzzlers,
when hjb123/One-eye
has posted one of these follow thier instructions :
ie:
puzzles - kriss kross - competitions - comp id xxxx

click on krisskross,
another little drop down list will show with 'competitions' 'new'
click on 'new' & the puzzle will appear for you.

..................................................

To access the magazine comps..

* Log in, Click on Magazines ..

this gives a drop down list and the first on the list is A to Z index...
Click on the A to Z index to get the list of competitions,
Select the competition and then get the topbar with
"Description" "Competitions" "Winners"...
Then clicking on Competitions gives the entry form ..
Please make sure you check the Comp ID Number
with the Op's post..
Occasionally, when you enter the comps for a particular magazine
you will notice that maybe of the answer boxes is already completed,
this happens because it has been supplied with the answer from
either an online comp you have completed or another
puzzler magazine you have already entered from with the same
Comp Id number.

Tips from the experienced members
who have been kind enough to share ..

if pasting + copying the 'Submit' button
will not show, you have to take the last
letter/number off and type it in,
the 'Submit' button should then appear in the
top right hand corner icon7.gif (in IE anyway)
or press enter and it will appear.

Tip from Amilucky? Or you can click in one of the
boxes with your mouse pointer and press enter on
your keyboard and the submit button will appear :)

Tip from Abbafan just press your right hand
arrow key on your keyboard and the submit box
should appear :)

Tip from teampotnoodle
When you paste, if you use Ctrl + v to paste into the answer box,
the submit icon becomes live and no need to backspace.
I find this really helpful when doing some multi entry line like the £25 crossword solutions.
I Use Ctrl C, then Ctrl V and that way I can do it without having to look at the keyboard.:)

tip from Gilla

It's easier just to press the space bar after the last copy and paste. The submit button should come up then.

**

Opening two pages together...

Tip from furndire

>>> #415

For non typists,
If you open 2 browser pages side by side, One open with this page, and the other with the Puzzler page, you can drag & drop the answers from here to the Puzzler page.
(To open another browser, Right mouse click on the link given & choose open in new Window) you still need to knock off & retype one letter at the end of one answer to get the submit button to work.
Hope I don't seem like I'm "teaching my grandmother to suck eggs", but if I can help just one person, its worth while.

:T:T thanks furndire, that's brilliant :A:T:T

    Thanks for posting :D

I'm a bit confused because when I click on the terms and conditions link under the actual puzzle it says:

    1. Open only to people aged 18 or over, unless otherwise specified, and resident in the UK, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands; in addition, cash and voucher competitions are open to Eire and overseas residents and winners will receive their prize in the form of a UK Sterling cheque. Employees of Puzzler Media Ltd, their agents, suppliers, anyone professionally connected with the promotion, distributors, retailers and the immediate families of the aforementioned are ineligible.

So, is it over or under 18 to enter??

    Thanks,

    Blue xx
And I won't sit down and I won't shut up
And most of all I will not grow up! :p

Best to assume over 18, although being a Beano related publication I expect under 18's can enter with parental consent
