No Tinkerbel that was just from sept/oct time.
Yes I counted it all myself:A....but it wasnt hard. Mostly in notes :rotfl:
I did a few carboots and put the money straight in the pot before I spent it! And my dad recently moved house and off loaded aload of furniture he didnt want to move or spend time listing on ebay, on me! I wasnt complaining :D
If I put it all in the sealed pot and build it up to a good amount I can then put it in my ISA and unlikely to spend it. I think theyre great ideas!! Cant wait for next year :)

Haven't looked on this thread for ages :S really should have but better late than never I suppose!
Was working as a supply teacher from January-October so wages were quite erratic and I ended up "borrowing" from my savings, which I wasn't happy about it but needs must and although I wasn't really saving for anything specific it was there for emergencies.

Got my first wage from starting new job 30th November :) I want to save at least £1000- hopefully £1500 but got to sort Standing Orders and outgoings properly first, I currently rent but hope to be able to get a nice lump sum for either a house deposit or if decide to continue renting I can have a nice holiday. Just looking forward to watching my savings grow really!!! :)
Married my wonderful husband February 2013!:happyhear
I want to wear my beautiful wedding dress everyday- it would make shopping so much more fun, I mean, people go shopping in their pyjamas these days.......
    Must STOP spending!!! :)
Proud to be dealing with my debts!

Well my sealed pot total is £852.70!!! Very pleased! :D
It would have been £912.70 if OH hadnt 'borrowed' £60!

Start my sealed pot again tomorrow and trying to keep costs down on xmas...doing well so far. However got to travel from cornwall to blackpool so the journey alone will put a drain on my wallet :(

    Well done everyone:T

    Fantastic total! Well done you.

I don't do sealed pots but that's because I like to know how much money I have at all times across all my accounts, and I also keep a spending diary (spreadsheet) so it would be very difficult to do both iykwim. But I might give it a go and see if it works.

Oh yes. :D I aim to have £42,000 by the end of December. My sig is from the end of October so I have 2 months' pay left to account for! It's been a challenge but I am so chuffed.

    Next year's target will be £54,000 or £55,000 - haven't decided yet.

A house deposit. OH is saving too, he has less than me (his salary is slightly less and his outgoings are a bit higher) but we're doing pretty well between us. If prices keep going the way they are, we could end up with a VERY small mortgage!!!!
