Happy new financial year, lol, how sweet!

Well done to all savers, big and small.

I got my ISA interest, it's £90ish LESS than I expected, !!!!!!!!! And the transfer last year took so long that I probably missed out on even more interest because of it. Who's responsible for the delay out of the two ISA providers involved?

Tell me about it! I enjoy the saving part but hate the banking part!

My employers sent me a check and a form to send them the correct bank details and I triple checked that they were correct and then got my mum to check them :o

I paid the check in yesterday and opened a new ISA so feeling a bit better about things although I have gone way over this weeks budget because I *needed* highlights ahem... I always go a little mad and buy things I would normally deny myself at the start of the holidays, does anyone else find that? (I work in a school, and therefore must be mad so it may not happen if you don't have school holidays!)

£250 will be going into the ISA next week sometime so that will be £5,250 in total in there and but still only £10k in total savings as I've just taken the £250 out of the rubbish bond and transferred it to the ISA seeing as that will get me a bit better interest!

I'll be aiming to build the semi-regular expenses fund up to at least £1k now in the short term as I've been hit with yet another unexpected expense and don't want to dip into the ISA for these kind of things so I think the main savings pot (ISA) will have to take a bit of a back seat for a while as I build up some savings that I'll actually want to touch!
ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)

Well I went out last night and managed to bring back money!

The money was going to be spend on food and taxi. However, instead whilst waiting for food, I got beaten up.

So sadly I didn't get my McDs and had to spend the rest of the night in a police station!
