    Nice!

    Payday for meeeeee.

    Woo woo.

I was planning on putting £500 into Savings, but gas bill is due and is £550! Eeek. It'll take a while for housemates to pay it, so I've paid it off now and as soon as I get money back from them it'll go straight into savings.

Hopefully I'll get it back soon, otherwise they will be very bored in the evenings without tele or interwebs!
  • Just opened the new Barclays ISA and put in the full amount - £5,100 ... transfered from my crappy e-savings reward account.

Got my ISA interest today, was about £30 more than I expected so that's good!

Recieved a few hundred in inheritance, also very good. I didn't know the nice lady who left it to me, distant aunt, she died quite a few years ago and I only met her once as a child, so it was very nice of her to think of me.

And my mum's giving me some money for my 21st.

So plenty of income to bump up the old savings with.

Oh and I'm getting £20 in a dividend next month too ;) If only I was as lucky in love as I am in money haha.

Lucky you Masomnia. I get my isa interest each month and I got very excited when I made £4 in interest :o so to get £30 must feel great.

Well done on everyone for saving even if its a small amount each month. It all adds up.

  • Well, I got my pension documents through, and am glad to say it's finally increased in value! This is the third year now, and the value was less than I paid in in previous years, but my increase on last year's balance is greater than the amounts I've paid in. By like £300. No massive sums, but that's pleased me.

Also, my mum had discovered an old building society account cash book, the account was set up for myself, my brother and sister years ago, and forgotten about (last entry was 1997!). It had just under 4K as the balance on the cash book - well, that's worked out to £1800 each! Nice little windfall :)

I don't really know how I did for March yet... I forgot to register my new credit card for online banking and I've left it at my bf's nan's house... so I'll have to wait till the statement arrives to see the damage. My inkling is that March went OK. April might be a problem though.

Happy new year all, by the way, love from a geek...
(I've had a new tax year drink, little tipsy, I do this every year)

    Hi

I've got a jar full of 1ps and 2ps. So far sorted £7.00. When I've collected about £20.00 will transfer it to my Barnsley Building Society Online Saver, via my A&L current account.

Hi all, just added some more to the pot. Now at 3k. Should be able to add a bit more from next month as I'm being promoted (woohoo). Got tax refund due shortly too.

    Keep it up everyone!
