How much can you save?

I'm still going to be saving, but £10k is too much sadly
Don't give up so easily, people can live happy and fruitful lives without money for a while.
Uni books especially you can buy very cheaply at book exchanges or on ebay, I even sold mine for more than I bought them for
When people say they need new clothes, are you sure, do you really _need_ them? Or would it just be nice to have the feeling of buying them
The feeling of reaching your first 10k is better than any shopping fix, I can say that for sure.
Just a few things to think about.Save save save!!0 -
I expect they will if you don't meet their terms and conditions. If you had 50k, maybe but not for such small amounts.
How is your saving only at 566? Didn't you say you'd made 2.5k in Betfair?!
Well i could always open a better paying isa, the rate on mine is so poor which is why im not using it. I paid off the majority of my debt as theres no point saving at 3% with a debt at 12.9%. Im going to live well below my means, just going all out to save and i can put the money to good use and use it to help change my life.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Exactly Castleman, only what i deserve though and nothing too major, just out for a few drinks with the other half every so often. I know im only young and should be having fun but i think all my money disappearing is annoying me and is even stopping me enjoying my nights in as even with nights in on a weekend and overtime at work right now iv nothing to show for it. Hopefully i can quote this post in 12 months, £10,000 laterWork in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Hmmm HMMMMM.
Overspending last month, overspending this month already (too much drinking involved, oppsy). I have put £150 into savings to make £10k. I aim to put in £300 this month but not sure if this is happening. At the moment, it is not.
However January should be ok as I budgetted £1k for Car Insurance and lowest quote so far (without renewal quote yet) is £630, so happy about that! Although I have heard bad things about Admiral!! Hmmm....
Work xmas party on Thursday, should be fun!
I also ordered a railcard, crazy of me, but I know I am going to get the train a lot of xmas and NYE so though I may as well try and save a few bob!0 -

I have been insured with Admiral twice in the past. Can't say I've had problems with them, really - apart from once when they cancelled my car insurance because I had "convictions for driving without insurance" (I don't). I think that was a DVLA mistake though, mixing me up with someone else with my name.
My car was hit whilst parked in a car park, when I was insured by Admiral. I phoned them the day I noticed the damage, and next morning I had a phone call from a local garage asking me to bring the car in, which I did the next day, and was provided with a courtesy car. It was all very efficient, and the call centre was based in Wales - nto being racist, but sometimes with Indian call centres it's impossible to get them to understand what has happened, or to understand from them what you need to do next, so a British based call centre was a big plus for me.
Their renewal quotes are rubbish (even when you don't have a claim), but I'm guessing you're the sort to shop around every year anyway. I tend to rotate between Admiral, Diamond and Elephant - believe they're all part of the same group anyway, but one of them always works out the cheapest for me.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

Quidco = £1.50 with Go Compare and 50p with Meerkat:D:D
But thats good! Hopefully will work out. I didn't get many cheap quotes as I reversed into a car in January and lost all my NCs, doh!0 -
Ouch. No claims bonus's (bonii? lol) are great til you lose them. My "car park" incident happened 3 weeks before my car insurance was due to be renewed. Three weeks later and I would have had 3 years NCB. I was gutted, as I lost the lot. I could never hit a car and drive away. Having to pay a £300 excess for an accident that happened when I wasn't even in the car, someone else's fault hurt, big time. Then last November I hit a car (this time was my fault) - had I made it til January, I would have had one year NCB. Fingers crossed I make it to this January without mishap so I can get my 1 year NCB... I'll still be well below the 4 years NCB that you can protect...Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012
