Brilliant Guys !!!
I think only these money savvy people can save country and next generation.
Me and my wife target to save £2000 every month and did it well. Just hit target of total saving 35K in nov. Got every pound spend on excel file monthly just to see how we spend. Though with the new baby in october, aiming about saving £1000-£1200 per month from next year..fingers cross !!! and all the best to everyone...0 -

that's a great idea!!! I hope HSBC or EGG will have something like that as all my savings is there....
I have just been looking at EGG as I have two accounts with them but only for ready money(one is being emptied). As they reduced one of their savings acounts in the summer I am surprised you put money with them unless you too wanted instant access. It is really cynical of them to reduce one savings account to 1.25% and open a new one paying 3.25% gross.0 -
This is turning into a bad month! I've had to withdraw £470 from my savings to cover the current account for the next couple of months outgoings as my freelance income has quite literally gone down the pan this month and that's often the case for January too. Bad times!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0

Thank you!Me too. I'm so glad I have savings that I can transfer money from or I'd really be in trouble if I was relying on credit cards or overdrafts!

Well my monthly regular saver amount as gone out and my signature has been updated.
My car went in for a service earlier this week and it didn't work out as xpensive as I'd feared, most of it will be covered by my emergency fund.
Goodness knows whether I'll have any other savngs this month, both my credit card bills are a bit on the ouch side - nothing I can't cover, but something that will bite into my savings!0 -
Moved £100 to holiday savings today, hopefully we'll get paid early this month so I might be able to move a bit more before Christmas.......0

Am doing a happy dance as I've made my target of £21,000, an extra £1,000 to what I expected to have by this time! Mind you, my December wages are going to have to be a bit more elastic than the last few months but this feeling is definitely worth it...0
