Early pay day this month so moved another £350 in to my ISA savings account. Natwest says I'm now on target to have 25k in there by the end of next year. I hope it will be sooner though.Save save save!!0

You've just reminded me about the loose change I still need to bag up and take to the bank. I've been hanging back and waiting for a cheque to arrive but now that it is, I ought to go and bank mine too when I next get chance!ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)0 -
Well done Zazie nice to hear that you have a plan to save.
I remeber years ago (my sister who always saves) gave me a good tip to set up a standing order to save, which i have done. The strange thing is you dont miss the money. As most people get a annual increase then increase the amount you save.
Good luck well done with your promotion.
My brother feels like he is shopping when he goes to the building society to put money inn!

Will have to update my spreadsheets and think about my targets. I am trying to keep a balance between saving and overpaying the mortgage. On the downside there is still talk of redundancies however on the plus side I am due my pay rise in January which should be a nice one as it is backdated to September. :j
There are lots of birthdays this month and next so need to get menu planning for some cheap meals at home to offset all those parties. Need some smart clothes for work and have already hit the sales and got a jacket and dress so just need a couple of tops now. Going to stay away from shoes departments so not tempted!!:A
I do need to get another Wii controller so when have friends around we can play more games and try out my Christmas present - DJ Hero. Fun nights in are on the cards until savings get a boost.:cool2:MFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000

Put £600 into my ISA, savings now upto £1,300. Left myself with £250 until next payday which is on the 15th of January. Set myself up a goal to have £4k in my ISA by my 19th birthday at the end of June, so just £3,600 to go. Overall aim for 2010 is to pay off my £1,534 debt, have £4k in ISA(currently £600) and have £4.5k in my 1 year bond which matures in November(currently £700) So looking to save another £7,200 while paying off £1,500. Also taking part in the £100 to £10k challenge, but im just aiming for £5k so £100 a week which will help alot. Payrise end of July gives me an extra £4k a year so the extra £2k for last 6 months off the year will hopefully get saved but might not with me having to pay my insurance in June. Dont know what to do about my van, dont think its worth sorting.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Hello all, hope you had a great Christmas. I've just added the last of my money for 2009 into my savings and I'm up to $5500. Not as much as I'd hoped but December was expensive!
Good luck to you all for 2010!Saving hard for Financial Independence0
