...and I don't gamble. Sad times
Although I did buy RBS shares a few months ago, which amounts to the same thing haha!
Happy birthday to meeee! Got a cheque for £50 from my dad which is going into the savings pot just as soon as I can get to the bank. Need a hair cut though, and some new jeans, so I don't know how far that money's going to go!
Good news too, my final rent payment for the academic year goes out on the 14th, and then I get my loan & grant through on the 27th, so a massive bump up for the old savings
Sounds like you're all doing well! Hope you're all having a lovely Easter, whether faith based or chocolate based, or a bit of both!“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

You could have subscribed your 2009/10 allowance as soon as the account was opened, the transfer is irrelevant as far as that is concerned and can take place at any time.
Excellent! I will transfer it now then!
Still think im gonna phone them up on tuesday and make sure the transfer is in the system thoughMortgage Free 22/03/17

Hi all, well done to those wo have opedned their ISAs already. I am trying to decide whether to go for RBS 3.5% with £3,600 or FD 7% at £300 per month. Not worth upgradging my RBS account to Gold for extra interest as already have travel insurance although if anyone is a pensioner or knows someone who is RBS Gold is a pretty good rate once you take in cost of the travel insurance especially for over 70s.
Trying to have low spend week so going to check for cheap theatre tickets and look for 2 for 1 deals. Not shopping for clothes as once again have been visiting parents and looking out my boxes at the top of the wardrobe. This time found nice floral top and a couple of vest tops. :jMFW 91 op 2014 £410/1000

I have decided to not spend another penny til May (petrol excluded, as I need to be able to get to work, though hopefully I wont need to fill up again this month).
I don't know if I'll manage, but it's good to set a challenge, I guess.

I'm in a predicament as I have two things I am saving for, PLUS my salary is being reduced from next month. I'm inclined to keep my standing order for my house savings as they are and throw every 'spare' penny I get into the wedding fund. It doesn't help that we still don't know how big the reduction is going to be.Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)0

Wow! That would be impressive. That's the kind of thing I think I'm going to have to do. Have you stockpiled food etc? Or is it just on non-essentials?“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
