    Savings accounts don't show on credit searches, as they don't offer credit to you :D

    thats alright then.
    i didnt think lowering your credit amount on your credit card or overdraft would matter but apparently it does.... oops

    Yeah, I get confused by that - sometimes having too much available credit is a bad thing, but sometimes they look at what percentage of your credit you're using!

    I'd be amused if the mother posted a thread: "I'm trying to save money but my daughter is free loading and eating all our food. Help!"

    Any news on the best ISAs for savings? I noticed that I now receive a paltry 1% on my current cash ISA - I know its tax free but my monthly interest is now down about 200% on what it was last year.
