Yeh my moneys in temp savings at the moment. Waiting until after xmas, if I have some left over I shall put it in my big pot. Each year I spend more and more, I feel guilty every year because people spend more on me than I do on them!

  • Sorry, I screwed up with the posting, none of my writing came out! Er, what I said was that I'd received an email from ING today, saying my transfer is one of the 5% that hasn't been completed yet!! I'm guessing yours falls into the same category, moneysavingwannabe. I find it strange that mine is showing in my account balance though! (Even though it hasn't cleared yet!)

  • Hi all

I am 24 and just thought I would say what I am currently saving and please if you have a suggestions please post your thoughts, as I am a bit new to saving ...

    NS&I Direct ISA --- £2450 (currently pay £100 pm) 4.80%

    Index Linked Savings --- £500 (5yrs)

Bradford & Bingley Internet Saver issue 3 ---- £300 (currently pay £100 pm)

Pension - 10% Salary pm (this is contributed from work)

I currently have about £500 debt on my credit card but i will be paying £300 this week and clear it next month. Apart from that i am debt free.

Im getting myself into a tight spot at the minute - Althoughmy entire savings with Icesave have been announced as being safe - I am potentially losing Interest income of £200 a month. If it takes the full 3 months (on the FSA) then i will have a shortfall of £600. My Christmas Is looking wonderful... Again!!! I'm not looking forward to Valentines either.
Had £80,000 in Savings - All GONE!!! BYE BYE
