You have all this money, have you not tried match.com??

As if anyone is going to date me - even if my bank balance was greater than £1,000,000. Plus on match.com there is very few ladies on there so it gives me a saw head.

What am I gonna put??? Aspie, male, 24 with thousands in the bank?

@ lucy the drawf - Thanks

Worth a try isn't it? My friend from school is Aspie and hasn't stopped him and he is ugly as anything!

You get a 7 day trial, I signed my friend up this week lol (its a guy though so...).

Never know, one day you may find someone and just click! But don't be too clingy ;)

Yippee!!! Once again I have managed to scrape together my monthly savings target of £500 - not bad when I only have spare pay of £79 - though it is getting harder each month to find. I keep reading this thread for inspiration!
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
  • Thanks to this thread i've started to save money I would normally spend on junk.
So hopefully the deposit for a house is in site. I'm really gutted that i've only started saving in the last year or so and saving properly in the last few months.

Only thing is, I keep going into shops picking stuff up and talking myself out of half of it. Which is a good thing for my savings say when im in asda but a bad thing for me when i'm in a clothes shop - not that i can find much i like anyway! :)

    thanks everyone :)

will update in a few days how much i've saved this month :)

Hey, I'm new to money saving so i thought i'd post my status and if anyone had any tips or advice that'd be incredible.

I'm a student, which makes it interesting.
I did a gap year last year and worked throughout it which means £6,500 is saved from last year. I just got my first student loan through which was £1,500, I've put £1,000 of this straight into my savings pot(£7,500), I've just opened a student account with Natwest(only bank on campus and free railcard) and I'm going to use the whole overdraft and save it(£1,200)thus(£8,700)

I've pretty much put everything into a Bradford & Bing internet savers as this is 6.5% and as i'm a student I don't get taxed.

I also have £150 worth of shares in ALLG, which are failing at the moment but i hope for an upturn.

I have an egg credit card with a credit limit of £500, Is it worth using that credit limit and putting it into my savings? Is this dangerous?

I'm also interested in Stoozing but i think it's unlikely that i'll get any credit cards with current economy and the fact i'm theoritcally in huge student debt.

Is it worth stoozing and are there any accounts better than what i'm using? Would much appreciate the advice, thank you!

Being a student it doesn't make you untaxable!! (I know you most probably know this but there are a lot of people that don't).

Watch out for the OD stoozing, banks sometimes take it away if you don't use the account, so just keep an eye on things and you should be ok.

Credit card - yeh you can do this but once again, keep an eye on things as things do change. Its worth it if you want. I don't do it because if I had a CC I would spend the money lol.
