Yes this is a great thread. Did my stint of freelance work and housesitting recently which has brought in some extra pennies recently - 149 pounds to be precise... My 100k well on target then, lol!

Awwww, this thread seems a little silent at the moment! So thought I'd leave a little messege!
Hope you guys are doing all well! And don't be spending too much!! tee hee!0 -
You have a fantastic attitude Wantosave! Enjoyed reading your post
Holiday savings are on target, should have more than enough to cover it. Anything left over is going back into the ISA.
Need to get some Euros and Swiss Francs, which will come out of next month's pay. Should give me a week to get it before I jump on the ferry.
I've also applied for a Nationwide credit card for my holiday. It seems to be a good idea to have one, use it for everything on holiday then pay it off in one go. It'll then go back in the drawer until next year.
Getting excited now, less than a month to go!0 -

Glad to read you're on track, grn.w.nv! (I'm well curious where your name comes from) And I hope your holiday is a good oneTarget Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012

Aww thanks Lucy. Going to blow my cover here, but it's actually 'Green with Envy', which is the name of my car (it's british racing green!) but really abbreviated.
Banked £100 in £2 coins today, so that's another hotel (and a bit of petrol)0 -
I am still on track saving £2 coins, all silver plus of course normal savings. Anything made from my extra self-employed work is going into a special section to invest in my pension.
We have now used up my £3600 ISA allowance for this year, so have now asked OH to transfer the small amount his ISA into another savings acc (apart from £1 to keep it open) and have now access to the full allowance of £3600 to put in there for 08/09 as well. Sorry Mr Tax Man, our deposit is more important!MFW #185

Why transfer any money out? If it's from last year, you can just add the £3600 for this year to it and keep the whole lot free from tax.0 -
Nope was his cash not mine, and besides it keeps it tidy... not that much anyway...MFW #185

Hmm should never transfer money out of an isa if you can help it, thats the tax benifits lost forever!
I'm close to reaching 3600 for this year as well, will need to look at the other options once I hit the limit.
I somehow went down in my savings by £2 this month! I think it has something to do with a trip backpacking round morocco and a weekend in weymouth. Holidays are so expensive!Save save save!!0
