Hi guys, I've been reading this forum for quite a while so i hope it's ok to join.

About me: I'm 24 and have been working for a few years. Have managed to save £9,500 so far in a cash ISA (now full up for this year) and am trying to decide where to put my money til next April. I've also got an instant saver with about £250 in it. As a rule i try to save 20% of my income which when you're paying London rent is pretty good i think!

I'm currently considering getting a few premium bonds but i know Martin doesn't approve(!) At the moment my money is all with the Co-op Bank, quite like their ethical stance even if the rates aren't tip top.
Anyway, good luck to everyone, keep up the hard work!:T

Hey! Welcome to the thread! :T Keep up the good work! :T

I've done 32.75 hours overtime this week (my normal is a 40 hour week, so I've been doing some stupidly long hours). Should be £300 up come pay day (13 days away).

I'm absolutely knackered, and so glad it's weekend. I'm trying to de-stress, but I've started to get used to the migraines and sickness that come with having too much work and too few hours in which to do it.

I'm should go sleep and dream of all the extra money I will be able to save.

It's great that you're working hard and making more, but it's not worth working yourself into an early grave!

Be kind to yourself this weekend :)

Well, no more housing benefit so I'm back!:j They were only giving us £7 per week and we were only allowed £3K in savings, not worth it.

I've got about £50 in change to bank on Wednesday and then it's payday again on Thursday so I'll put 25% of my tiny wages in my ISA. I did this last month and didn't miss it at all.

Try not to feel too down. Decide when you are ready and apply to taket
he test again. ( For what it's worth it took me 3 attempts to pass.) Hang on in there.

On holiday at the moment so very dangerous for my savings! Fortunately have lined up a few cheap nights out and going to go to the gym so membership feels worth it and I avoid the shops. :AGoing to empty the piggybanks and bank my change and some cheques.

  • Hey, I am seriously saving since last 10 years.
    My tips shall be:
you have to be very accountable on any single penny you flow out and every single one that you get in!
You should every day work out on this accounts and the results would be obvious that you have a clear picture of how much you should manage to expend if you want a good saving!
That's an evergreen tip and has proved very successful for me!

    GOD BLESS!!!
