I'm the opposite here! I'm taking pride in my messy numbers! one of my savings accounts has £2537 in it after interest etc, and i'm most upset with that, not a stray few pence or anything, how rude0 -

Glad I could be a source of inspiration there Debt Free Me. I say definitely go with your interests and aspire to a work life balance. It's really important. What outside interests do you thing you might go for 'Debt Free Me' but please don't feel obliged to divulge? The fact you've made up your mind to do more things outside of work is great! Personally, I like to enjoy my job as most of us are 'cooped' (excuse the reference to battery hens! lol) up from 9-5 and that's alot of mortal hours! Lol - however, I work to live and working for me is a means to an end. Because I work in finance and the trading floor opens early, I take advantage of that when I have long jobs to do (the one's that never seem to end - you know THOSE ones!)and where I need to concentrate, and I go into work an hour early but only very occasionally in order to clear things and it is far better better than staying late. It feels like a kinda flexi-time working thing to me!
Only wish I could share that beer with youand well done on your savings so far :T .

Ok I receive a letter from BM today about my e-saver issue 2. I'm going to put our Christmas money in there to start with and then any extra emergency fund money plus money in excess of the 500 i'm going to put in Halifax reg. saver.
Also going to open siad Halifax reg. saver on Thurs with dh (in my name so gross tax:) and drip feed from BM to websaver via a standing order, if that makes sense. I hope they'll let me set it up just in my name. Actually, we could have 2 really if dh was to set his own up too. I am going to set the amount on mine at 500pcm initial dep. then 250 pcm and on dhs at 25pcm to begin with, then we'll see how we go. This is on the understanding that we can top up the account via standing order up to the total amount of 500pcm?
That's the plan. I'll update when we've done it!
