fil just gone home. I left the men watching the racing and defrosted both freezers. One thing I must try and do this year is to use things up sooner when I've frozen them as I always end up having to chuck stuff thats been in there for too long.
I'm deforsting a couple of chicken portions and the chaps can have a SC chicken casserole tomorrow.
I'm also defrosting a portion of stew and a portion of veg curry - not sure if they will be any good but we can but hope.
welcome to Viv - you've done really well this year with your OS achievements:T
welcome also to any other new posters.
Off out to walk the dogs after my coffee so we can have a nice evening in as lately we've been rushing around like headless chickens!:DDo what you love :happyhear0 -

Happy New Year everyone!!
Really must try to keep up on here in 2011!! Last year was a real up and downer with an enforced move from part time to full time following the sudden death of my close work colleague. The extra money is wonderful but I know I end up wasting stuff & spending more due to lack of time.
My one resolution is to try to be more organised as that seems to be the answer to all my problems - losing weight, decluttering, wasting money etc!!
Hope everyone has a healthy, happy & prosperous new year.
Love
Karen

I just want to share a moment of success with you all, I've just totalled up last years grocery spend and not only did I managed to stick to budget but I also managed to spend less than 2009, not bad considering all the increases in prices!!!!!0

Just though I'd report back on the naan bread making.......all I can say is wow!! Really simple to make and cook and they taste really authentic - in fact better than bought! Need a bit more garlic and chilli next time
but really pleased. Don't know whether they'll get as far as the freezer though :rotfl:
