MaySomething to consider is if you want to stay the entire week in one hotel or if the right deal comes up you'd consider splitting the stay too
Personally I wouldn't do the Luxor as a second hotel though-I find the pyramid rooms a bit dark and like a bath as well as a shower in the room-plus if splitting I'd go for a mid Strip hotel rather than another South strip one to get a different perspective.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

MayPlease can you offer me a bit of advice? I am going to Vegas with 3 friends on 8th May for 7 nights, she already has an apartment booked, but the flights from Manchester are coming in at £820 direct, and £650 with stops. Is it better to book the flights now or wait until nearer the time?
Also, we are possibly looking at a helicopter flight over the canyon, would I be better off booking it there, would I get a good militarty discount with my ID card? Have heard that they are great with the military in the States and that it's possible to get discount.
Thanks

Came across this forum yesterday and spend my day off reading the 2011 forum and reading the trip reports - i would like to say thanks to all whom have posted some really great ideas i am gathering for my honeymoon. We are doing a mutli trip LV, yosemite, SF NY, we are spending 7nights in NYNY.
I have a few question ( i apologise as i cannot see them covered)
Which show of circus do you recommend ( i know this will be a personal q) we havent seen any so want to see one which is either the original or similiar - or ideally the best
Are the outlet close to the strip - do you need a car to drive or is there a bus you can get ?
Many thanks Lynsey0 -

MayThere are 2 outlets at either end of the strip, both accessible by the Gold Line or Deuce bus, $7 for a 24 hour pass.
The Premium Outlets at the north are generally regarded as the better of the two and are outdoor http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=58
The LV Outlet Center is south of the strip and is indoors http://www.premiumoutlets.com/outlets/outlet.asp?id=610 -

The original Cirque show in Vegas is Mystere...it's the least expensive of them as well...it's been around since at least 1997 as I remember seeing posters for it then.
The first time we saw it we really liked it...the second time (after seeing Love, O, and Ka) we thought it was kind of boring as it's nothing like the other shows which are far more grand - though some still think it is the best...so for a first-timer it may be fine. Some dislike one of the characters (the baby, I know, I know trets...you can't stand the baby) but didn't bother us.
As for what is the best, as you have said, it's very much down to personal taste and you will find people who rank each show as the best in their opinion (exceptions being Criss Angel: Believe and Zumanity).
Our favorite is Love...took me until the second time to rank it first but it's definately there - and I am not a Beatles fan. Some here didn't like Love at all...so there you go...totally personal taste.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
MayIn order of preference re Cirque - Love, O, Viva Elvis, Mystere0

Hi, going away for a friend's stag party in March and looking to book a suite for the Sunday night of our trip (as it'sthe only weekday we're there and I believe prices are lower). Wondered if anyone has any tips about where to book (direct with the hotel/3rd party website), and if there are any suites anyone would recommend?
The Terrace Suite in the Cosmopolitan looks a good price at $260 + taxes?
Anyone stayed here?0 -
