I am going to Vegas with 3 friends on 8th May for 7 nights, she already has an apartment booked, but the flights from Manchester are coming in at £820 direct, and £650 with stops. Is it better to book the flights now or wait until nearer the time?
Also, we are possibly looking at a helicopter flight over the canyon, would I be better off booking it there, would I get a good militarty discount with my ID card? Have heard that they are great with the military in the States and that it's possible to get discount.
Thanks

regards flights . there is no magic answer as to when it's best to book .
the only real rule is the fuller plane gets the more expensive the seats become . but if they aren't selling seats at a certain price they will (probably) discount to sell them .
rock bottom ( and i do mean rock bottom ) price is now around £480 . personally if you can get a fare starting with a 5 ...my advice ...book it .
RE: Helicopter Grand Canyon . probably worth a try and worth waiting . you will find a flight over the Canyon easy enough when you arrive ( they don't get bumped in price or sell out ect )Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
4 actually staying there, another 8 staying elsewhere0

What type of food and what is a reasonable price?
It's Vegas - there are more food options than you can possibly imagine pretty much wherever you are.
There are several Mandalay Bay restaurants on restaurant.com too. Current code is ENJOY for 70% off until 24th Jan...then the 80% off code will likely come out.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
Came across this forum yesterday and spend my day off reading the 2011 forum and reading the trip reports - i would like to say thanks to all whom have posted some really great ideas i am gathering for my honeymoon. We are doing a mutli trip LV, yosemite, SF NY, we are spending 7nights in NYNY.
I have a few question ( i apologise as i cannot see them covered)
Which show of circus do you recommend ( i know this will be a personal q) we havent seen any so want to see one which is either the original or similiar - or ideally the best
Are the outlet close to the strip - do you need a car to drive or is there a bus you can get ?
Many thanks Lynsey
such a personal question
i Liked Ka but don't think it was worth the full ticket price,
Have heard nothing but good things about mystere and love, however I just didnt fancy the latter not being a beatles fan. Have heard O is fantastic if you are a bit geeky like me and like the challenge of working out how they are able to change the set so quickly,
i would love to see viva elvis but have no immediate travel plans..but i am an elvis fanboy
nothing but dissapointing reviews for chris angel though i am affraid0 -
Of the ones Ive seen, Id rate KA excellent, LOVE just behind, and Zumanity pants.illegitimi non carborundum0

I have only been to one cirque show, KA which was fantastic. Took me 12 years of going to Vegas before going though as IMO I think Vegas shows are overhyped and overpriced.
Only went to see KA because I got $150 tickets for $55. As I said cant compare with other shows but for $55 it was absolutely worth it, but for full price, again IMO no show is worth $150/£100 a ticket
You dont need a car in Vegas altho we always have one as I prefer it to public transport and means we can get to malls etc that bit further away with ease0 -
