just wondering if anyone would care to share their opinions on the price i have been quoted.
its £2650 for BA direct from Heathrow 7/8/12 (departs 16:45) returning 17/8/12 (departs 20:45) staying in Planet Hollywood - it is through a travel agent, so I am assuming its standard room.
We previously stayed in MGM & Encore, and I would stay in Encore again - just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions? We like something mid strip that is convenient to everything. I would love Cosmopolitan but I think it would be very expensive!

If it's a Hollywood Hip room (which is their standard room, I think), I would steer clear especially for a honeymoon - especially if you have stayed at Encore before, world of difference...while we did get upgraded to a Resort Room from our second night (due to the noise from the goods lift that made the first room nearly unbearable) and that was lovely...we will never book PH again if there's any risk that we would get stuck in a Hollywood Hip room.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
thanks adam & ferf.
i know this isnt the most mse way to think about the cost, but my future father in law is paying for the honeymoon, so for the sake of £100 or so, I would rather book it all through the agent to put my mind at rest & take the pressure of me if the flight times are changed or whatever.
I have noticed that we get get the Cosmo for £1200 for the 10 nights, but the more I think about it, the more I like the thoughts of splitting the trip over 2 hotels, like we did last time!
I am so looking forward to being a regular on this thread again ;-)
The other thing with the agent is the deposit - £125 pp rather than having to pay the full cost of the flight upfront! we will probably pay this ourselves and get the money off my father in law at a later stage!
Thanks for your opinions :-)0 -

adam i have been emailing del back & forward over the last few weeks about other possible destinations - he has been fab.
i would prefer to fly BA - I noticed some of the Virgin reviews aren't great, but then I suppose not everyone would fly BA.0 -

I dont like Virgin as many others on here dont BUT I flew Ba for the first time this year and the air con wasnt working on either flight which after reading the forums it seems like it is quite common, both flights were uncomfortable and late. I got foobbed off when i complained.
The plus side was that there were no drunken stag partys and the IFE worked and it was the video on demand which was good.
Another BUT, if FIL is paying I would go ony route and any hotel lol
Why not let him book a package and then if you fancy a couple of nights of luxury, you could leave your bags at the hotel paid for, and go somewhere else for those nights...just a thought0 -
For those that don't already know The Heart Attack Grill will be opening here tomorrow. Anyone over 350lbs will eat for free!!!!!!! It's in the Neonoplis Building on the corner of Fremont and LV Blvd. It has such delights as the 'Single', 'Double', 'Triple' and 'Quadruple' Bypass Burgers. Not forgetting the 'Butterfat' Shake and 'Flatliner' fries!!!! Good luck0
