Yep we went to Anaheim in 09 as well, did the whole disneyland and drive along route 1 was fantastic!

Thinking of 4 nights las vegas, 4 nights road trip (san diego/santa monica etc...), 4 nights las vegas!
Any ideas on the 4 night road trip?
We have just done San fran/santa monica/hermosa beach & vegas.
3 nights in SF, 3 nights in santa monica, 2 hermosa and 6 in vegas

Im not a fan of LA but santa monica was great, rooms are expensive but you certainly get what you pay for.

I wasnt really looking forward to santa monica tbh as i hated LA last time i went, but i found SM to be a great place.
We did the drive down highway 1

Out of the 4 we went too Vegas was a big let down. Not sure if it was all the hype everyone we met gave it or just the fact that SF & SM were far more interesting, but its not a place we would rush back too.

Off to Vegas for 6 nights on 12th September staying at the Tropicana - can't wait! Haven't been to Vegas since 1991 - think I'm going to notice some changes!!

My daughter is looking to buy a Pandora bracelet and I was wondering whether it would be cheaper for me to get one for her out there?

On the same topic of shopping, my boyfriend hates shopping so reckon I'll only be able to drag him along on one shopping trip - which is the best outlet to visit? :)

Booked our flights at the weekend for next year!
June, so we booked early, but got a good price on direct flights. It will be good, as however nice the US Airways flights were last time, it was a very long day.

We knew we were going in June, but now its official.

Time to start the Restaurant.com collecting again!

Has anyone ever bought the Restaurant.com gift vouchers with a code and then used the gift voucher to buy the certificates, with another code? Does that work?

as somone who also dislikes being taken shopping with the oh, i would rather go from experience to the outlet at the north of the strip, better choice of shops i found then the one down past mandalay bay. I dont count fashion mall, miracle mile as 'shopping' as there is so much more there other then shops

We are off to LV for 4 days on 13th August staying at New York New York. Been reading this forum and trying to take in all the tips but can anyone suggest a reasonable amount to take for eats, perhaps a show, a trip to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon etc (no gambling) for 2 for 4 days? Am off to visit family for 13 days after this so don;t want to end up skint!
We finally did it! Debt free 28/6/10 :T  :T

    Hi everyone,

Well in less than 48 hours we will be touching down in Vegas! Woop Woop!!!

    Quick question:

Has anyone who's been recently seen a guy with a snake on the Strip (to have photo's taken with)? If so, where??

Also, has anyone been to Voodoo Lounge at the Rio and did they have a dancer with a snake there?

We didnt see anything last year but I've heard a few whisperings this time around.Sorry if it seems weird, I have an absolutely crippling phobia of snakes so need to be prepared and avoid areas as much as I can. (Sounds silly I know but it is very genuine and upsetting)

    TIA!

There is a reason it is called "outlet", it is old stock that the chains are trying to dump. ;)If that is what you are after then go for it. If you want proper shopping then go to Fashion Show where you will find Nordstroms, Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Guess, Marciano, etc.
Also Forum Shops is good as well. The shops at Palazzo have a Barneys of NY and a Louboutin store.

    :rotfl::p
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I was there last week and saw the snake guy in a couple of places on the south strip. Every evening he was in the stretch between Ballys and Planet Hollywood (on that side)

Thank you!! You have no idea how good it is to have this information!

That is one area I'll do my best to avoid, though obviously cannot avoid everywhere or every possible occurence.

Any more information from anyone at all is greatly received!
